praisedmambo
We shouldn't be arguing that Kozak was better off not signed, we should be asking why we were linked and had interest in AM's (Lambert confirmed this) and the chairman didn't back him. Lambert deserves backing and should have been allowed to spend more than the 10m net he did. But what if the AM's he was after were all overpriced? Then it's not down to backing so much, but the player's value not matching ours. I don't think there's anything surprising to get nickers in twists about any of this. Risso
I know we have to give him time and everything, but still....what an awful looking player.
Big_John_10
This guy is not cut out for premiership football. He's too slow and he doesn't make up for that lack of pace with other attributes.
PaulC
Yes he was terrible. With him up front we look totally toothless. May end up being Lambert's worse signing. Edited October 20, 2013 by PaulC

He's too slow and he doesn't make up for that lack of pace with other attributes. He can't play the role that Benteke plays but saying he isn't cut out for Prem football is drastic, especially after seeing so little of him. AVFCforever1991
I'm not going to write him off, but his anticipation of where the ball is going to land is poor..

Pace is so important in this league and if you haven't got it you need to have something else to make up for it. Kozak offers nothing special. PaulC
Yes he's had a few starts now and just look out of his depth. Maybe now he'll be out of the side he can work on a few things. At the moment he's just not good enough.
Cliffy Biro
Would rather see helenius start at the moment tbh, can't see why we didn't atleast start him once in the absence of benteke. He just isnt going to get a game now.
nnock1984
Time for Helenius - looked decent in pre-season!
Avfc96
I know Benteke had an indifferent start. But Benteke showed class from the off, his debut goal against Swansea proved that. Kozak so far has shown **** all, he fluked a goal against Norwich. He is too slow, has poor ball control, and he is always out jumped.

Big_John_10
Benteke didn't start off like he is now but you could see he had strength and pace. Kozak does not have the physical attributes needed to be a good premiership striker. He makes angel look quick.

But it isn't constructive - it's stupid shite like, prob one of the worst signings, not cut out for the prem. It's clueless drivel.

Dr_Pangloss
I still think he lacks genuine quality service into the box and would benefit more from that. But there are some worrying signs. He does look like his legs are made out of cement, he doesn't win the ball well in the air, and frankly Benteke does more in his first 7 minutes on the pitch than Kozak did in 60 minutes. We need to see a big improvement, he'll need more time as he's probably still adjusting. It's not an easy league to play in if you lack pace. Avflife
We paid how much for him again, 7m hasn't looked anything worth that so far, slow as shit, weak in the air and even on the ground seems to in every battle get outmuscled by whoever, Davies last week Dawson this one. Benteke being fit again is probably the one thing that was needed.
