Id have to see how good we would be if we could spend the kind of money these teams have over a few seasons. The starting lineup for Man Utd last night cost approx £250m... ... and 6 of those 11 were academy graduates.

Maybe, but iirc they have spent somewhere in the region of 1 billion quid in the last 8 to 10 years on players.....

Something wrong with the club as several of these players look good before arriving, and look good again after leaving. Players Like DdG, Rashford, Lingaard, Mata all looking shot of confidence. sne
Lingard and Rashford are social media celebrities now, football is just a distraction. Mata has probably lost just that little edge that made him a very good player even thou his small stature and lack of pace.
KAZZAM
Lingard is surely finished now,No way is he getting back in the England squad and must be off to the baggies(championship) in the near future.

How do you go from 200k/week to West Brom? Forget about feasibility and the logistics of that for a moment, it was just boneheaded from United to give him that contract. Rashford I can understand, he's their main man up front. 200k is probably what De Bruyne makes and he's the best player in the league playing for the best team. Bonkers. He's got at least one cycle through the cast off harvesters (Everton, Palace, formerly us) before that fate
