Ratcliffe going on about taking measured views on long term decisions and they've basically kept him due to winning one game they didn't expect him to.

It's as irrational and as knee jerk as they come.

It would be like us keeping Sherwood after winning the final in 2015 rather than sacking him straight after as we....oh wait.

I think he'll be gone by October/November if they get a tough opening 10 games.

They clearly had a better season than us. Winning the FA cup and qualifying for the Europa League > finishing 4th (by a mile).

We had a better season *by our standards* than they had *by their standards*. I agree their end result is better (as in, I would prefer it) but there's also no point denying that if football is about enjoying 50-odd individual matches during the season, we enjoyed more of ours than they did of theirs.

Not as crazy as appointing Southgate. Guess winning the FA cup bought him more time.

If it did it would show how clueless the "sir's" are when it comes to running a football club. Keeping a manager because he fluked a win in one game rather than looking at his tenure as a whole.

Not sure why it's funny, did us didn't they!

I think there'll be a good to be fair once they get rid of the wasters, an you can almost guarantee they'll still have the 6 points off us either way.

To be fair though it wasn't a fluke win. They deserved it. Maybe the win against Liverpool was a fluke.

Not many people will get to play City in a cup final right after they’ve spent the week on the piss.
ETH owes Pep a beer for that lack of professionalism.

Apart from the 6 points we'll inevitably hand them.

Not to mention the inevitable FA cup 3rd round tie, in slightly more contentious circumstances, of course.

De Ligt leaving Bayern.  Surely he's United bound to link up with his former manager, they're also in desperate need of some centre backs.

Strange one isn't he, was a huge potential, everyone wanted him, can remember some eye watering numbers attached to him going to Barca but then he went to juve and was ok, went to Bayern and was ok, he's 24 years old and probably about to break €200m in transfers...yet at the same time he feels like a perfect utd signing, huge name, huge figures but he's not really a top top tier player hence why he keeps getting moved on, there's just something about him where he's a 7/10 player rather than a proper elite one

He'll obviously walk straight in to the team and be their best CB and make them better but he doesn't make them good enough to challenge for the league

Bayern looking to replace him with Ito and Tah
