sidcow Posted June 22, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted June 22, 2021 Surely it's time for Bryan Robson to finally become that top manager he was always tipped to be? He gets my vote in this.
It's Your Round
I can’t believe they haven’t found a manager yet when there’s so many to choose from: Sol Campbell ’Arry Redknapp Tim Sherwood Wayne Rooney Dwight Yorke Gareth Southgate All top quality managers that would put Spurs back in their rightful place in the top 17. Mic09
Am I the only one thinking that Kane to Man City for 100m is simply not happening? 1) Man City never spend that much on a single player - I think compared to Man U or Barca or Real or Juve they actually have a good transfer model. I'm sure they have their eyes set on 10 different strikers. 2) Guardiola doesn't play with a dedicated striker (or he hasn't recently) - but maybe because he doesn't have one that's good enough, granted. 3) Kane's form does not warrant such a fee - lately, he looks slow and lazy. 4) I'm sure they could get better value in Europe with a younger striker that could score 20 goals. 5) Spurs counter and Son feeds Kane - City dominate and kills teams with slick passing and through balls. Is Kane made for that? I just don't see it. But I could be wrong.

Totally agree, he hasn't ever looked like a 100M player in my opinion & when you look at other top players this seems like an expensive and made up story. He looks to be getting slower as you say & how many seasons will he be at his current "Best"
Davkaus
I've only really watched him for England and he barely looks like a £20m player, but for the stats he gets in the league he must be doing something right.
HanoiVillan
I imagine Guardiola would measure little things like 'leading the PL scoring and assisting charts despite playing in a weak team' more than a few internationals at the end of a long season.
Zatman
Kane has 2 problems one is that he had to be 100 percent fit or he is useless. A player like Jack or De Bruyne can get away with 70 percent and still have an impact but Kane has shown when he rushed himself back for finals that Spurs looked like playing with 10 men Other one is somebody needs to realise he is not some elite playmaker unless he is next to Son and stay in the opposition box. As Jack said when Smith took over he told him that his job wasn't to pick the ball from the defenders and you cause more damage 30 yards forward and his goal stats have gone up. Southgate should be saying the same
GENTLEMAN
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57581976 Quote Tottenham made a "dizzying" offer to Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui but the former Spain boss will not be going anywhere, according to the La Liga club's president Jose Castro. The north London side have been looking for a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho since his sacking in April. Lopetegui, 54, guided Sevilla to Champions League qualification with a fourth-place finish last season. Castro said Lopetegui had "received offers he'd not listened to". Talking to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Sevilla's president continued: "Julen rang me and told me.
