dont_do_it_doug.
It's bring your child to work day. I just told a woman in our office that her daughter sounded "really turned on" I meant "switched on". I corrected myself. Still so awkward though... Wait... Bring your child to **** work day? What's that all about? Before the sarcy reply, I understand what the words mean in the order you've written them. I understand what the event entails. AVFCforever1991
Sounds like it would just be a massive distraction. Edited April 8, 2014 by AVFCforever1991

Stevo985 Posted April 8, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 8, 2014 It's sort of like work experience I guess. I don't really pay much attention to it, given that I don't have children. But yeah, they get all sorts of presentations and stuff during the day, tours of the test track and plants and stuff. They don't just sit next to their dad at his desk all day. Dunno, the parents who work here seem to think it's good. Can't really say I've put much thought into it.

Wainy316
Children ruin enough situations. The workplace at least, should be a haven.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Depends on the workplace. If you work in an office then you're already in the worse place on earth, so a few children turning up won't make a difference.

Ignore my grumpiness, I'm having one of those days where just the thought of a child buzzing around me while I'm stressed out to buggery is enough to wind me up on its own! I'm all for it. Seeing as you don't own a child, did they let you bring your girlfriend? (I will drop this eventually, once I've forced a meme out of it) Edited April 8, 2014 by dont_do_it_doug.
