dont_do_it_doug.
Girlfriend's dad is a Man Utd fan. He's stopped watching them this season. "Given up on them"You have a girlfriend? How come you've never mentioned it before?Probably mentioned her 5 times. If that? But point taken. A man I know but I won't be specific about in order to avoid mentioning someone I may have mentioned before is a man united fan... dont_do_it_doug.
I reckon things like jacket potatoes, rice, quinoa and vegetables taste okay out the microwave I know it's meant to zap the nutrients or something but probably still healthier than a pizza I'd imagine no matter how you cook it. Why do it though? I mean jacket potato ok, it can take a couple of hours to cook a big one properly in the oven and they're not great for you anyway, but why would you ever cook quinoa in the microwave? Vegetables take 5 minutes to steam too.

"Given up on them" To be fair a lot of people on here have said the same thing about Villa My response to most would be don't let the door hit your arse on the way out
useless
I don't know just if needs must I don't think cooking certain things in the microwave is the end of the world. I've actually cooked quinoa in a thermos and tasted fine too probably better than microwaving it actually.
limpid Posted March 30, 2014 Administrator Share Posted March 30, 2014 I reckon things like jacket potatoes, rice, quinoa and vegetables taste okay out the microwave I know it's meant to zap the nutrients or something but probably still healthier than a pizza I'd imagine no matter how you cook it. Microwave ovens energise water molecules in the food. They don't "zap" anything. I tend to only use the microwave for reheating things, but that's because I've usually got something else cooking on the hob and it's as easy to put another pan or the steamer on. CrackpotForeigner
Zactly. There are better ways to heat food if you've got the patience, but there's no need to fear the "Science oven".
useless
precisely Limpid. they excite the natural resonance in water molecules. I guess cook in an oven if you can but there is no shame in using a microwave especially if it's something good for you at least that's better than eating something bad for you no matter how it's cooked. Stevo985 Posted March 30, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted March 30, 2014 All these VTers eating **** ing quinoa!I was astonished when someone on TV pronounced quinoa as "kwin - oh - ah" (exactly as I would pronounce it) and got ridiculed for it. Apparently it's "kin - wah"

How come you've never mentioned it before? Yes! Attention drawn off of me being a teacher and VA having a mustang. Don't forget 91 is Canadian... not that he'd let us. There is a tendancy on VT for people to repeat facts about themselves or their lives. I'm in the same boat as you, mention something once and everyone else can't stop talking about it. But who can blame them for wanting to talk about Mustangs?

I can't remember if I've mentioned this before but a girl at work put a request in that we change her email address as not to include her surname as she shares it with the name of a 'pharmaceutical drug' as she put it, and so her emails were getting blocked by spam filters picking up her surname. Out of interest we Mooneyed this name/drug and found that it is used for treating erectile disfunctions.
