mjmooney Posted March 25, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted March 25, 2011 I met David Cameron and Nick Clegg at work today. I'd like to say that I called Clegg a word removed and got escorted from the building after throwing my shoe at him, but I actually just shook his hand and wished him a nice day. But I gave him a filthy look. When his back was turned. Take that, you turncoat bastard. Did you speak to Cameron about Villa? He is a "Claret and Blue chap" after all.Oh I would SO love to do that. Me: Well "Dave" - I can call you "Dave", can't I? DC: Er, haha, yes, of course. Me: You're a Villa fan, aren't you? What do you think of this business of using Ash in the hole? And what about Downin? On the right or the left? DC: Oh, yes, up the Villa. I'm related to that McTavish, er McKenzie, er whatever, chap you know. So, how do you think we're doing as a government? Me: Well, shite actually. But that wasn't the question. Ash in the hole. DC: Well, I expect this Ash chap will benefit from our tax policies, because... Me: ANSWER THE QUESTION!!! DC: With respect, we have to focus on the issues here... ME: ANSWER. THE. ****. QUESTION. DC: Look, it's been great talking to a fellow Aston City supporter, but I really must be getting along... ME: Cuellar or Clarke? 4-5-1 at home? Houllier, sack him or back him? Dave? DAVE!!! Come back here you little Tory clearing in the woods!!!! mjmooney Posted March 25, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted March 25, 2011 For a pedant I'm surprisingly bad on the Clarke/Clark thing. I was the same with Davis/Davies. But you're thinking of ME, not Me. I know you are.

But you're thinking of ME, not Me. I know you are. For a pedant you surprisingly switched between correct capitalisation and incorrect capitalisation. "Me" directly referenced the protagonist in the Cameron skit. As opposed to just plain old "me" in a sentence. Actually this whole me/ME thing does cause confusion. Which is why I usually refer to Her Ladyship as JaiME.

jonno_2004
My dickhead flatmate. First of all, things aren't clean enough around the place (or rather aren't to an OCD standard) so we devised a rota of cleaning tasks where we mark what we've done on the board. Now, apparently, things aren't 'dirty enough' to be cleaned (which is also coincidentally when he doesn't have many ticks next to his name on the board). He also hates confrontation and people disagreeing with him so when he started to ask me why I cleaned something yesterday when he had a couple of days and I disagreed, he gets aggressive and defensive as a typical reaction. These last 6 weeks can't go quickly enough.

These last 6 weeks can't go quickly enough. That's exactly my situation, Jonno! I've been living in a house with 2 workmates (one of which is my best friend for over 10 years), but a few weeks ago my best mate left to move in with his gf. Now I'm left with the other workmate, who sounds exactly like your housemate! We ended up having a big argument a few weeks ago and we agreed to now deal with our own rubbish. He's moving out Today, but I know that he's going to leave me loads of his crap.
jonno_2004
Just be thankful he's moving out. I have to put up with this chump for another 6 weeks. He actually said yesterday 'only 6 weeks left guys, not hard to follow the rules, it's not a game, it's not a race to put your names on there', I felt like saying 'only 6 weeks left to avoid being a dickhead, after that you can do what you want!' Seriously though, who cares!? I can't stand these people who let so much trivial shit annoy them, like whether the carpet has enough dust on it to warrant a vacuum!
