chrisp65
yeah we've had a couple of wipe outs when we've tried it before but tonight I think we got lucky satellites bats moths aircraft but some really good shooting stars too, everybody got to see a few I guess that whilst I'm in a town, it's not a big town, plus about half of our sky is out over the water so less light pollution. Hadn't thought of it that much before.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
On another note there was a good Horizon episode on iPlayer recently about planning a manned mission to Mars. Fascinating stuff, with one major problem being how to get back home, and even if they found a way they'd have to live there for a year in any case. Amsterdam_Neil_D
I was watching something the other day about Neutron stars. The last time 2 of them collided, the resulting energy released was so powerful it shook the whole universe and was detected here on earth. I successfully re-created this phenomena here on earth 5 minutes ago by trying to get some digestives but instead dropping the metal biscuit tin lid on a tile floor when my Mrs. was on the phone. 1
