mightysasquatch
I personally wouldn't be at all surprised to see us playing a 5/3/1 next season. Unless Lambert has plans to move Baker to left back, I can see Luna/Bacuna in the wingback roles

GENTLEMAN
Bye Tony Aston Villa are prepared to sell Spanish left-back Antonio Luna this summer and the player is closing in on a move to Hellas Verona.Luna only moved to Aston Villa last summer, switching to the Premier League club on a three-year contract. The former Sevilla man had impressed on loan at Real Mallorca in the latter half of the 2012/13 campaign, convincing Aston Villa to snap him up. However, he has slowly slipped out of favour at Villa Park and is now heading for the exit door. According to Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo, Aston Villa have opened the door for the 23-year-old to leave Villa Park. And talks are under way with Serie A side Hellas Verona, who are closing on reaching an agreement with Luna. The left-back is a product of Sevilla's youth academy and won the Copa del Rey with the club in 2010.
VillaChris
Yeah this looks logical to me, either loan or permanent. With Richardson signed, 3 left backs is too much especially given Clark and Baker can fill in at LB aswell. Another who looked decent at the start but who's form quickly plummeted. Rodders
concerned it indicates Richardson is considered as a left back though.
KJT123
So Bennett must be staying. I think that's the right decision, I think Bennett has a lot more potential than Luna

RichiBoi11
Which one of Lamberts cheap signings will be next? Bowery, Luna, Sylla, Helenius. They're all getting the chop. Take your pick on who's next as Lambert seems to be replacing all the cheap gambles he took with more experienced players

Definitely different to a lot of our recruits over the last 8 years or so.

It's pretty expected that most cheap punts wouldn't work out though.

Definitely different to a lot of our recruits over the last 8 years or so. This is true and some have worked out to be fair so at least the duds can be moved on without draining our wage bill for years (I'm looking at you Hutton) I feel bad for Luna, I had such high hopes when he scored in that away win at Arsenal on the opening day, but that match aside he never cut the mustard at this level
vandaq
Sad but true. He did look decent sometimes going forward but his positioning just looked bad.
Isa
To be honest, other than the goal at Arsenal, he offered nothing going forward either. Quite simply one of the worst players that we've ever fielded in our Premier League history.

LockStockVilla
Thanks for a delightful debut prompting me to get you on the back of my shirt! Welcome to the club. I've only ever gotten two names on my shirt. Makoun and Luna...sure worked out well.
Ponky
His beard has already been replaced by Keano, so no great loss in that respect.

I've only ever gotten two names on my shirt. Makoun and Luna...sure worked out well. I've only had Downing (about three months before he was sold) and Helenius. I'm not doing the name on the shirt thing again. I'm a jinx.
