villa4europe
I clicked it but then couldn't find it, are they saying £200m per year for 3 years or £200m total? Because the latter is nothing and even the former I'm not sure would get them top 6 Then what I did see in those stories are rumours of barca buying players and think you might as well put the whole lot in the bin

villa4europe
Just now, jim said: £200m to spend over three years so £66m a year. Went with thanks but could have gone with £66m a year war chest... You have more than a quarter of the league spending that on single players in the summer
Wainy316
A Liverpool fan joked to me about Gerrard bidding £200m for Oxlade-Chamberlain. I told him not to worry about that as Eddie Howe is back in the game and with an unlimited bankroll.

Which makes me kind of laugh when people point to our spending, especially in our first season back as if we're spending CL money. We've been spending no more than midtable money.
VillaChris
I actually don't think they'll spend much in January, will be more loans with view to buy if they stay up. So think it will be 100m for next two summers so more in line with what we spend.
tinker Posted November 13, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) Their defence will be completely changed in January. Even Howe will see the weakness there. Apart from that the squad is good enough to stay up and they will imho. Edited November 13, 2021 by tinker

The rest is very average, maybe a defender or two is solid Edited November 13, 2021 by Zatman

Tbh with the money...... they will buy their way out of it. If they come in for Ming's at £60m, will our leaders let him go? Tunzabe for £20m , they really have a game changing amount of money and if they get fined for spending it .......so be it .

Sensible option would be getting in somebody like Craig Dawson he is a solid centre back maybe Tarkowski as well As its Eddie Howe he will have Nat Phillips and probably Phil Jones

However they will buy proven quality to keep themselves up at a cost most can't compete with.
