CI
Strange management to drop someone so publicly and let the opposition know how we are setting up.
CI
Hang on I've just read the transcript. Pretty sure lambert says "he's dropped" sarcastically when asked what he thought of Bentekes 2 goals for Belgium.

Against Scotland should be added to give Lamberts comments context
SikhInTrinity
He was joking in regards to him scoring past Scotland! The best bit was when someone said whether Villa give their players sleeping pills if a player can't sleep, he said know I just get him to read your interviews! Big_John_10
Has to start. I know he's missed a couple of sitters but while bent and gabby have been sitting around he has been scoring goals in actual games.
CI
No point launching high balls vs fulham as Hangeland will eat them up for breakfast.
Mantis
Has to start. I know he's missed a couple of sitters but while bent and gabby have been sitting around he has been scoring goals in actual games. Don't really know what that means because Gabby and Bent have both scored more than him for Villa this season. Although yes I would start Bent and Benteke against Fulham. Big_John_10
It means that while bent and gabby have been sitting around during the international break Benteke has been scoring goals in matches. Didn't think it was that difficult to understand.

SikhInTrinity
Just like he held off Carroll and Lambert? Benteke has to play for me with Bent. Gabby to come on in second half.
AVFCforever1991
Hope he goes with Benteke and Bent.. And then bring Gabby on when their Defenders are more prone to mistake and Tired. Burn past them with his pace.
Super Jonno
Burn past them with his pace. Then miss a one on one
CI
Benteke will eat Hangeland for breakfast!! Not in the air he won't. Possibly on the deck if we can play it in to feet, allow him to control it and get the ball off. Then his pace to get in behind could be deadly. Our tactics will need to be bang on tomorrow. No hoof ball.
AVFCforever1991
Unfortunately the temptation to hoof it when benteke is on the pitch, seems to be to great for some of the players..
ciggiesnbeer
I reckon he will be on the bench for Saturday just because he has played so many games the past week. Will come on as a sub. To start I reckon Gabby & Weimann. Two fast paced hustlers to get Fulhams back 4 wheezing. Cant beat em in the air so pacey through balls maybe our best bet, particularly if ireland & Bannan are playing to provide them.
R.I.C.O.
Has to score this weekend as his confidence will be high after the Scotland game and he's got to start producing the goods for us.
