villadude
He couldn't trap a bag of wet cement just lately, he offers nothing to the team.
sharkyvilla
All the top 3 looked like they hadn't got a brain cell between them. How time after time they kept taking the wrong option is beyond ridiculous.

Big_John_10
You have a gifted player, being used as nothing more than an outlet big plank to flick the ball on. Says it all He was used the same way last year. He is playing shit and its all down to him, his touch is terrible and his decision making is worse. And if he was playing well would you give him all the credit or would you be praising lambert?
StanBalaban
You have a gifted player, being used as nothing more than an outlet big plank to flick the ball on. Says it all Says nothing! He's been slow to pull the trigger when a chance presents itself, poor in link up play and a great opportunity to set either Gabby or Andi free today ends up at the feet of a defender. You don't get too many chances in the PL when you're in an average team - the strikers at the top of their game put them away.

He did get credit for the transfer, though, but not for Benteke's play.

He was rightly praised for signing him and for the way the front 3 clicked in the final 10 games of fhe season.

Matt1874
Benteke is definitely performing way below his best. Last season he was an absolute beast, a battering ram that defenders couldn't compete with. He doesn't like anything like that now. He's lost his fight/motivation. He was only behind Messi and Ronaldo in goals scored in European football in the 2nd half of last season. Playing for us! He's got the talent but sadly doesn't look like he has the fight this season. Hope so much that he proves me wrong but I have a feeling that Benteke is the kind of player who only shows his true self when there's some kind of reward awaiting him. New contract, move away etc. I bet he will be outstanding the year before his contract is up for renewal if he's still here then.
Matt1874
You'd have thought that a place up front for his country in the World Cup would be enough motivation for him though
poitier
Although, generally, he was poor today, he did win a lot of headers. It almost seems like the plan of hoofing the ball up for him to head on isn't working...
myko
Unless he fancies moving to Ukraine or Romania I very much doubt he will be playing for a team with Champions League football next season. Wouldn't be surprised if he stays tbh.
VillaChris
Had a tough second half of the season but still far and away our best bet to score the crucial goals in the run in to keep us up. He's not helped by playing behind the most uncreative midfield in the league.

Electric Avenue
Seems to have lost all hunger since his new found wealth. So many go this way and it's only the real elite who rise above the money and keep doing it. Not easy when you're young and earning so much to lose focus particularly if you don't have a good support network around you.
Voinjama
For all his faults this season, I hope he stays at the club. He is still the biggest attacking threat, and I think he can recapture his form of last season. Maybe the hype went to his head, or he thought he was too good, who knows, but Benteke will be back. Avfc96
We play half decent football and guess what? He scores goals. Play shit football and he doesn't. You can't expect him to be putting in world class performances when he has the ball lumped up to him for a majority of the game.
Nabby
Doesn't look as good as last season however most of the balls he receives are in the air to flick on.His recent goals headers and a pen.We don't play to feet and what's worse currently our delivery from cross's is woeful so he really doesn't get much to do each game.
