VillaChris
Say the worst happens and he aggravates his injury playing for Belgium, are we entitled to compensation off them?

AntrimBlack
It is pretty obvious that Benteke has only ever seen us as a stepping to the big boys of the premiership. Whereas he may well want to play for his country.
Mantis
you are aware that fans and players of other nations stillconsider playing for their country a major thing. This attitude seems to be mainly in England which they dont care about international football I don't think the attitude is as prevalent in England as some think it is. LondonLax
Say the worst happens and he aggravates his injury playing for Belgium, are we entitled to compensation off them? I think clubs usually have insurance which pays out if a player gets injured away on international duty.
AValon
Didn't say he would be playing, he will be called is all I said. He will want to be part of the squad when they qualify as he's been a major part of them getting there. Did'nt mean to imply that you did. No offence. Avflife
Lets just hope Belgium get at least a draw away in Croatia (enough to qualify), so he isn't needed against Wales On the issue regarding club vs. country, if he (CB) wants to play for them, guess no one can stop him; the only thing clubs are entitled to if a player gets seriously injured is a **** lot of compensation. He may see a future other than Villa to progress his own ambitions, but comments like he may well want to play for Belgium indicate that he doesn't want to play for us. He gives it 110% for us and at the end of the day, we will get a hell of a lot more than we paid for him.

PaulC
Naturally he will want to give his all for us but ultimately he wants to play champions league football and be a big part of the golden generation of Belgium football. Cant blame him for that!

The problem with AVFC wasn't who we sold its who we replaced them with. To think we had Downing, Milner, and Young and we effectively replaced them with N'Zogbia, Ireland and Bent. Crap management/ management changes has more to do with those replacements being crap. Interesting to note that None of those 6 have had great careers since they have left or arrived. The top 2 teams in the World for players are Barca and Real, the rest are in effect stepping stones, only question is how much each steps gonna cost. Easy to say now whereas when they were signed the majority of people were more than happy.
