foreveryoung
Great pass from Benteke for 2nd goal. If his not scoring he can give a famtastic assist!

villaguy
He's much more than a goalscorer, thought he had a very tidy match. Did he ever lose possession? Can't remember it myself
samjp26
The way his game is progressing I think he could definitely play a more creative role if partnered with another striker
PaulC
Yes I thought he did ok. The service to him wasn't the best. Belgium look really good even without some of their star names. Should have been about 4 or 5 really
abdomlahor
I think some people here need a reality check to be honest. Just because he's got a few assists doesn't mean he's fit for a creative role. He's a fantastic target man, leave him as that, because he's frankly amazing in that role. ciggiesnbeer
Annoyed he even played. let alone 90 minutes. Beating minnows like Scotland is something that can be offloaded to Lukaku. Happily he didnt get injured which is all that matters , sorry Belgian guy but I dont care about international football
AValon
Belgium look a good bet for making a few notes in Brazil. Probably won't win it, but I reckon they'll have a good run.
privateer
Eurosport - Christain Benteke of Belgium ® vies with Shaun Maloney of Scotland (AFP) Shaun, c'mon son, really? Catch yourself on. Honestly, no one would have thought any less of you if you had just kept away. They wouldn't have laughed at you or called you a coward. A seconds few prior would have been exactly the right time to get an Ashley Young limp. The only way you could have looked more silly is if The Beast had got a straight-arm palm on your little kid forehead whilst you windmilled air punches at him.

The Fun Factory
Yes you fancy them for a quarter or even a cheeky semi next year. They have got a silly amount of talented players in 1 generation. Somewhat of a freak for a country that small. A bit like Portugal's 'golden generation' of about 20 yrs ago?
villa-revolution
Belgium certainly have a golden generation & Benteke is the cream of the crop. & get this He's ours. Yippee!
Jonoridge91
Looking forward to seeing Benteke, Helenius and Kozak play together at some point. Watched Kozak today and whilst he didn't have any real chances he held the ball up really well and created for others, won a lot of aerial balls as well. I'm hoping him & Benteke can find an understanding and create for each other. Fingers crossed.
Kiwivillan
Looking forward to seeing Benteke, Helenius and Kozak play together at some point. You could be waiting a very long time if you expect to see all 3 on the pitch for an extended period

De Bruyne has such huge potential in my eyes, I bet he will be one of the top stars in 5 years. Benteke will be right up there when it comes to strikers. Golden generation indeed.
