Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted September 28, 2015 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted September 28, 2015 He looked good tonight. Fit, strong, assured. He played a couple of very good passes and although he didn't look quite sharp, he dealt with everything well and showed that whilst he's young and can look inexperienced in the first team, there's a leader in there.Good to see him back.

Great news and great to see him getting some game time. I am sure we will take it slowly with him but hopefully he will be in and around the first team squad in the next month or so. bobzy
Does anyone else see him as a proper defensive midfielder? He's relatively comfortable on the ball, has a decent range of passing on him and is strong and quick. At centre back, he has been done positionally on a fair few occasions but I think playing him that little bit further forward will allow his pace to compensate for this. It'll never happen, but I think he could become good there. In a similar way to Zouma at Chelsea previously (now he's a proper centre back afaik).
BOF Posted September 29, 2015 Moderator Share Posted September 29, 2015 I still see him as the mid to long term solution to our central defence if I'm honest. It has been a far rockier road than I thought it would be though.
AVTuco Posted September 29, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2015 Really hope he's back to full Fitness soon. We so need new options at CB.
VillaChris
I reckon when he's fit and available we'll actually go 3 at the back. Him and Richards would probably be a little similar together as a combo but stick in Clark or maybe even Tiago and you could get a decent mix.We need to find a formula to stop conceding 2s and 3s anyway as we do have goals in us this season. dn1982
If he can play left side of the CB I think him and Richards would be very good together not sure if he can though. I'd throw him in at RB for now with Traore ahead of him and just tell Jores to give him the ball and concentrate on defending.
VillaJ100
I always wondered about playing him at RB, didn't he play there for norsjaelland?
AvfcTheObsession
I'd like to see him given a go at RB, can see him being better than Bacuna and Hutton.

lexicon
So now we've got a RB at CB, we want to put a CB at RB?How about just playing them in their bloody proper positions?!

Players often don't have that simple a "position". What is Jack Grealish's "proper position"? How about Carles Gil?

As others have said, he should be in our long term plans (preferably at CB), we don't really know much about his attacking abilities to can't really make a judgment about him at RB. Czechlad
Last season Okore looked very uncomfortable on the ball. Don't think he can work as a right back especially in Tim's system.
