ciggiesnbeer
So he is either the next Cristiano Ronaldo or the Bulgarian Obertan? Got it. *I want him signed, looks likes Lamberts kind of player.
CI
Hopefully this won't impact upon the progress of Carruthers or Burke. We do need some more natural width options though. I think this spells the end for Albrighton.

I think this spells the end for Albrighton. I think Albrighton will get one more season to see if he can cut it. Started with great promise, got a bad injury and looked completely out of sorts and devoid of any confidence. Constantly changing the manager can't have done his progress too much good either. I imagine he's the sort of player that could work well with Lambert. I can see Holman being shipped out however. ciggiesnbeer
Albrighton has always struck me as being a nice local lad who wants to enjoy his life and career at the club. Unfortunately I think as a player he needs to have a far more determined and ruthless edge who wants to just win.
Big_John_10
Albrighton was garbage towards the end of the first year with houllier. Change of managers and injuries are not the reason he's developed into a shit player.

DamsonwoodVillan
No medical yet according to Kendrick. Still a few clubs sniffing around at the moment.
avfcwills10
If lambert can pluck Sylla straight out of Ligue 2, i trust him whole heartedly!! i think 50% of signings will be obscure leagues and 50% lower league!
Zatman
I imagine he might be on international duty so probably any deal be done after it Edited May 31, 2013 by Zatman

I think this spells the end for Albrighton. What progress is this? Both were a non-factor this season, if they're good enough they'll get their shot. The likelihood is that Insomnia will leave and so will Albrighton so it's not like we'll be stacked for attacking options.

VillaChris
Clear to me if he's signed, he'll be eased in over the season, maybe a bit like Westwood who didn't make his first start in the premier league until November.
roonst83
Not going to get carried away with the possibility of signing Tonev but what we missed dearly last season was a midfielder chipping in the with goals and being a potent attacking threat. He looks (and sounds like) that sort of a player and would perhaps relieve the pressure on our strikers a bit. Much like the way Lampard does at Chesea. But I'll wait until I see him holding up the Villa shirt before I get excited. It's is, however, nice to be chasing these sorts of players as opposed to SPL and over priced PL players Edited May 31, 2013 by roonst83

I think he's got a hell of a lot of work to do if he's to stay after this coming season.
