Pongotastic
Key evidence that seems to destroy a lot of his argument. Bullets went through the top part of the door. He claims he was on his stumps.......He's had it.

No, he claimed yesterday that he was without his legs and feeling vulnerable when he fired.

Stevo985 Posted February 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 20, 2013 Ah ok. I thought he'd said he was without his legs when he heard the intruder, which made him feel vulnerable, but put his legs on after he fetched his gun. but you'r eright, just read what he said. He put his legs on after he'd shot her (according to him)
Pongotastic
I'm sure we won't be waiting too long for the full trial. I can't imagine it will take long for the prosecution to get a firm case together
mjmooney Posted February 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 20, 2013 Like I said upthread, the chances of hitting somebody three times in the head through a door are slim indeed, unless you know exactly where the target's head is positioned. My guess is that it played out like this: They had a row, she got scared and locked herself in the bathroom. She's sitting on the floor with her back to the door, crying. He's on the other side shouting at her. He can tell from the sound of her voice exactly where her head is. He puts the gun against that spot and pulls the trigger. LondonLax
Only one of the bullets hit her head, one hit her arm and one hit her hip. She was still alive when he dragged her out but he didn't call an ambulance.
Eames
To be fair Mike in a 1400x1400 toilet with 4 rounds through a closed door and someone sat on the loo opposite you've got a fairly good shout of hitting them.
Stevo985 Posted February 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 20, 2013 Yup. I reckon if someone was sat on my toilet (in a bathroowm which is bigger than that small toilet enclosure) I'd have a pretty good shout of hitting them through the door. Pongotastic
Like Darren Bent, the defence lawyer is 'feeding off scraps' but doing a good job at taking the prosecution evidence apart.
LondonLax
The bullets hit her right side, not her front left as you would expect if she was actually sitting on the toilet. It's more like she had her right sholder towards the door when she was shot.

Not three times in the head: "There were three entrance wounds on Steenkamp's body: one on the right side of her head above her ear, one in her right arm, which broke her arm, and one at her hip." The bullets went through clothing; she was dressed when shot.
