VILLAMARV
i went to sleep wondering how I could sum up what he's trying to do. Now Ive woke up and had a coffee I realise that if Barry had meant to score it would have gone well wide
villa4europe
2 brilliant assists from iniesta, the 1st one was as good a pass as you'll see all season
Troglodyte Posted February 10, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 10, 2013 Iniesta has been sublime. He's such a wonderful player to watch. Nice goal from Tello just now, too. He's a brilliant young player (probably the best forward in the world in SGC's books).

The_Rev
Speaking of records: 1990/91 1991/92 1992/93 1993/94 1994/95 1995/96 1996/97 1997/98 1998/99 1999/2000 2000/01 2001/02 2002/03 2003/04 2004/05 2005/06 2006/07 2007/08 2008/09 2009/10 2010/11 2011/12 2012/13 Ryan Giggs has scored a goal in the league in each of the last 23 seasons. That is incredible when you stop to consider that football was only invented by Sky Sports 21 seasons ago.

TrentVilla Posted February 10, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 10, 2013 Speaking of records: 1990/91 1991/92 1992/93 1993/94 1994/95 1995/96 1996/97 1997/98 1998/99 1999/2000 2000/01 2001/02 2002/03 2003/04 2004/05 2005/06 2006/07 2007/08 2008/09 2009/10 2010/11 2011/12 2012/13 Ryan Giggs has scored a goal in the league in each of the last 23 seasons. That is incredible when you stop to consider that football was only invented by Sky Sports 21 seasons ago. The guy might be a bit of an arsehole but he is a true legend of the modern game. This record and his honours list is nothing short of remarkable and will never be beaten, in fact nobody will even get close. I'd say he could play another couple of years yet as well. coda
Lee Sharpe emerged around the same time as Giggs and I thought Sharpe was the better prospect.
Richard
With the title race now over the media, well sky, will have only the relegation battle to focus on adding greater media spotlight, for me this is the last thing we need but to be honest not a surprise as nothing has gone for us this season
Zatman
in fairness Sharpe had as much potential as Giggs but not the attitude. Think he wasnt even 30 when he retired
Zatman
I used to like Jeff Stelling but not anymore. saying Gareth Bale is as good as Ronaldo is nearly as bad as when he said McLeish was doing a good job for Villa
Voinjama
Amazing by Giggs even more amazing was in 92 93 the bloke at sat next to at villa tried to convince me that he was nowt special and froggie was better We all thought Cristiano Ronaldo was nothing special and a 1 trick pony. if you had said to someone in 2004 that Ronaldo would eventually be the 2nd best player in the world, you would of been laughed at. Voinjama
As for Bale, he is now world class, but he is not at Ronaldo or Messi level. I would say he is one of the top 10 midfielders in the world currently though. Anyone agree?
PompeyVillan
Ryan Giggs is a phenomenon. The fact that he's still playing is one thing, but when you consider that he's making meaningful contributions to a side as good as Manchester United is another thing. A modern day Stanley Matthews. VillaForever1970
World Class? What an annoying phrase that is, what does it mean, that he could win the world cup with Wales?Makes no sense.
