smetrov
Away goals rule 2-0 will take us thru only AET - if its 2-0 @ 90 - we play ET - if still 2-0 AET we go through. Buts its still only 1-0 - we need to up the tempo - get down the flanks
KSV
Ireland is adding calm to our play. Keeping possession. Without him it will be like our other performances where we cant hold onto the ball.
Mattyp_avfc
Come on Villa We need 2 more really but I think they should come if we keep this up and more importantly, keep up the tempo! Bannan really needs to stop taking corners...
Borgs
We've one of the greatest aerial threats in the game and we've knocked over bugger-all crosses from in behind their fullbacks, despite being virtually invited to do so all half.
Avfc96
Overall summary- Given has had nothing to do, Vlaar is leading by example by stepping out and bringing the ball forward and bringing the players forward, Bennett has had his best game in a villa shirt, Lowton has been awful and is not offering us any width on the right, Clark is a liability and needs to be careful not to get sent off. Delph and Ireland have been our driving force, Bannan is just beyond awful. Agbonlahor made a bright start but hasnt really had a big impact as of yet, N Zog looks bright and looks like he could create something. Benteke took his goal very well, however cant keep missing those headers straight at the goalkeeper. And Dowd is a prick. drewdat
Yeah I got confused, nerves and lager. You were right, the Capital One Cup away goals rule isn't the same as Champions' League. At 2-0, it goes to extra time anyways, and then if it stays 2-0 after extra time, Villa would win on away goals. I may like that rule better, actually. Just not used to it. KHV
Bannan and Gabby have been shit so far. Gabby has spent half his time rolling on the floor looking at the ref Bannan's crossing and corner taking has been dire so far Nzogbia, Benteke and Delph look likely to do something
Laivasse
Gabby's been everywhere, excellent link up with Zog and Benteke. Really don't see how he hasn't had an excellent half.

VillaForever1970
If we had 2-3 quality players (i mean proper quality) we would be beating them easily 3/4-0 up at HT the problem is we do not have the quality players to deliver the pass in the final third You mean like arsenal did? Daweii
It's just like the first leg. Duke is the reason this game doesn't have an aggregate score of 10-3 right now. We could have scored 5 in the first leg that he saved and he's done the same tonight. If Bradford get to the final it's down to him and him alone. dudevillaisnice
You mean like arsenal did? Did they? Santi had arguably his worst game.. who else was there? Chamberlain isn't consistent enough.
AshVilla
Bannan is so shit on set pieces. **** give them to Gabby even. So sick of his crosses with no pace on them. Little **** floatie passes. Id bring on Holman for Bannan and eventually bring on Bent and Wiemann. But Bannan is the best crosser in the premiership his corners are beckhamesque All he does is pass the ball sideways he adds nothing to the side he needs to be replaced with a big strong DM at least they can tackle are physical and pass the ball sideways just as well Ireland has been great Edited January 22, 2013 by AshVilla

Guest
Phil Dowd, one of England’s top referees, is facing a sudden fight to save his career after it emerged on Tuesday night that he has failed a fitness test to continue next season. Oh and Bradford won't be as poor in the second and we won't be as good...
