I've said before, that only having two viable choices in American politics is a major problem. They badly need a realistic centrist alternative to keep the left and right from diverging toward extremism. Obviously there is no guarantee of that, but if you are a moderate, or 'light' conservative, at present you have to vote for Loony Trump, or abandon your principles entirely to vote democrat. That's asks a lot of the electorate. 

The Democrats are the centrists.
