They/this are the most (insert derogatory term here) in the history of our country.  We've never seen anything like it.

I had the best (insert positive term here) in the history of our country, the likes of which we've never seen.

Now he's claiming he tried to come up with a better alternative than Obamacare but the Dems refused to vote for it.   SMH

Says he saved it rather than let it die.   Revisionist history.

Trump lies. Water is wet.

Will undecideds be drawn to Kamala on the basis of this debate? I just cannot fathom how anyone is undecided but someone who understands that please tell me she is destroying him

Trump has now wandering into the “Spin Room” (aka Deception Alley coined by Jon Stewart) which is unprecedented by a candidate.

He’s wandering through the press core essentially pointing to pretty reporters taking their questions and ranting.

Once again Trump breaks the norms and appears to be unhinged, but, it doesn’t mean he’s beaten (sadly.)

For years schools in America have been underfunded, and the result is that most American aren’t properly educated.

Because most Americans lack basic understanding of how anything works, they will elect Trump as president again.

Harris could have the best policies, the best people, do all the right things, but not none of that matters when most of the voters have no interest or understanding of politics.

You’d like to think Harris and her team are going into the debate setting various traps for Trump to show himself for what he is.

It feels like that scene out of A Few Good Men, he wants to say it, probably feels like he shouldn’t have to hide who he is, just need to set the right traps for him to mouth off.

You nailed it. And she nailed him.

While I largely agree on public education in America, and a Trump win is both possible and would be indicative of the failings of the American education system, the bolded bit is a stretch.

It is highly unlikely Trump wins the popular vote at all, and under no circumstances will ‘most Americans’ vote for him.

And any statement about ‘most Americans’ doing or being anything is just almost certainly going to be a generalisation anyway. Many, sure, but not most.

But as has been previously discussed in this thread, it was never not going to happen whether it was Harris or Biden - it was just being saved until closer to the election date rather then it being in the news six months ago.

I'm a bit surprised it's now, rather than further down the line. Maybe something to do with voter registration deadlines.

Dunno about this. It's like when Carlsberg sponsored Liverpool - for every Liverpool fan than drank the stuff, how many petty-minded fans of other clubs boycotted it?

Like all pop stars, Swift polarises opinion - for every fan there is a hater. And her fanbase seems to be mainly young girls who would love to support whoever she endorses - but aren't old enough to vote. Although I guess their middle aged moms might be a potential pool of voters.

Taylor Swift is in the music scene for 20 years. She has plenty, millions in fact, of voter age fans. Whether it makes a blind bit of difference remains to be seen or may never be known.
