BOF Posted November 10, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 10, 2016 Pretty much. He inherited his father's billions and an investments expert once said Trump would have more money today if he had invested the money in an index-linked investment and instead played tiddlywinks for his entire life. Or something of that nature? And therefore revealing that he's in fact a useless businessman would destroy his image and 'worth'. It's interesting that many of his supporters seem to think he's a successful businessman, despite all the evidence of his business failures and the losses to his creditors and his investors caused by his serial bankruptcies. Don't agree with rioting though. We live in a free world where opposition against the victor only helps move us forward, not a dictatorship where everyone has to sit back and accept it. Do people read what they write before posting it? Democracy failing?? why has democracy failed here? Because the person you wanted to win didnt win? Plz tell me you are just joking. It isn't Trump's fault but is a fundamental failure of democracy. I'd say the same if it went the other way. and FWIW I didn't particularly want Hillary to win. Do you not understand the Electoral College system? Democracies have many different electoral structures, you seem to be confusing a US Presidential Election with a referendum. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it. A candidate shouldn't be able to win the popular vote and lose an election. We have a similar system in the UK and I can't recall of any election where somebody won the popular vote and lost the GE. As I said in my edit, I'd say exactly the same if Trump lost but won the popular vote. 11 minutes ago, sexbelowsound said: She was competing in the same game as Trump though wasn't she.
