The web designer thing is just the US doing it's version of the gay cake thing we had a few years back as far as I'm aware, except it's based on a hypothetical rather than actually having happened.

Yes, exactly. It's in Colorado because the state law there offered a chance -- faked in the web designer case -- to test a Colorado anti-discrimination statute against the US Constitution.

He's ramped up to maximum crazyarse today ... I think people are not listening as much though. He doesn't actually seem to be able to get more than handful of wing-a-dingbats onto the "streets." But jeez, he must be worried. Maybe Melania's finally dumping his arse.

Quote

“MASSIVE PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT IS CURRENTLY TAKING PLACE IN AMERICA. THE WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN,” Trump wrote. “CRIME & INFLATION ARE RAMPANT, OUR BORDERS ARE OPEN, OUR ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED, OUR ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES, OUR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE IS GONE, OUR “LEADER” IS MERCILESSLY MOCKED, & OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED BOTH INSIDE & OUT. DO THE PEOPLE OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION EVEN HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO PROTEST THE POTENTIAL DOOM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??? 2024!!!”

Seems that way.

Weird that somehow there are fake details in the Supreme Court papers, though.

My mate has got no idea where they got all his info from.

That is an amazing story. The Governor of Colorado is openly gay which in itself is sort of ironic (although we are post irony these days)

Florida is becoming the 1970s-1990s Ohio of the American South ... You could see this coming a long time ago. The far right politics are driving away young people and pleasing only a bunch of aging Trump-o-philes.

Quote

Moreover, Florida already is one of the states with the oldest average populations, and the MAGA culture wars risk alienating young people and the diverse workforce the state needs. In February, USA Today reported, “Florida may be the most moved to state in the country, but not when it comes to Gen Z. They are the only generation that chose to exit Florida, with an outflux of 8,000 young adults, while every other generation moved in.”

RFK is **** mental.

He believes in the classic madness that is vaccines cause autism, because he believes vaccines use a toxin in their makeup that causes neurological development issues (which is false, and seems to boil down to the fact that a toxin and a preservative have similar names). He is very, very, very iffy on AIDS and has associated with a few AIDS denialist-y people. He also believes in basically every COVID conspiracy going.

He's ker-azy.

The rest of the family must be frantically trying to figure out how to reel him in after this latest outrageous comment. He used to be a solid lefty with environmentalism credentials, but something has clearly derailed his mental health. Perhaps all his past drug use has caught up with him.

The fact that RFK Jr. has been welcomed into the arena as a legitimate candidate says everything you need to know about the functionality of the American political system. Desperate days here.

And the same goes for Trump, obviously. The system should have filtered Trump right the **** out of there before he even had the chance to announce his candidacy in 2015.

Trump officially being investigated for the Jan 6 Capitolium riot.

Edit:

Quote

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he has been told he is a target in the Jan. 6 criminal investigation by special counsel Jack Smith.

Trump is the leading contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Smith already has criminally charged Trump with about three dozen counts related to retaining classified documents when he left the White House.

Trump also suggested he may soon face indictment for the Jan. 6 probe, which is focused on Trump’s efforts to overturn his loss in the 2020 election to President Joe Biden. Trump posted his statement on his Truth Social account.

Ancient Israeli artifacts intended for an exhibition in Washington in 2019 are stuck at Mar-a-Lago, with Israel struggling to get them back

In 2019, Israel sent some of its national treasures for an event at the White House, on the condition that they be returned within weeks.

But almost four years later, the ancient artifacts are "stuck" at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, with senior Israeli figures scrambling to get them back, per the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

The artifacts include ancient ceramic candles, which were sent from Israel to the US for a Hanukkah event at the White House attended by Trump, who was then president, Haaretz said.

The candles were meant to be displayed briefly in Washington, DC, but failed to be exhibited due to an unspecified bureaucratic issue, the newspaper reported.

But somehow the antiquities ended up at Mar-a-Lago, where they remain to this day, according to Haaretz.

Insider contacted Fox to ask if he knew how the items ended up at Mar-a-Lago, but did not immediately receive a response.

Marjorie Taylor Greene sparks outrage by showing explicit photos of Hunter Biden at congressional hearing

During a Republican-led oversight committee hearing regarding IRS whistleblowers connected to a probe into President Joe Biden and his son Hunter BidenMarjorie Taylor Greene showed explicit photos of the president’s son on posters.

The Georgia Republican held up a series of posters with images of Hunter Biden naked and photos of him engaging in sexual acts at the Congressional hearing on Wednesday.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene is literally showing dick pics at our Oversight Hearing,” California congressman Robert Garcia tweeted.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene is currently brandishing Hunter Biden nudes during a House hearing. I’m not going to post it. Disgusting,” journalist Aaron Rupar tweeted, adding: “Your taxpayer dollars paid for Marjorie Taylor Greene to print Hunter Biden nudes on poster board so she could pull this stunt during a House hearing.”

So Trump has a superseding indictment on the documents case given to him in the last few days and then the Jan 6th indictment will likely be this week and then over the next couple of weeks the Willis indictment.  It’s a busy couple of weeks for Trump.
