mjmooney Posted December 9, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 9, 2012 Can't say I noticed the soundtrack, TBH, but I agree, "Heat" is ace.
Dr_Pangloss
Indeed, Heat has some great music in it, I love the track by William Orbit in it as well. Gustavo Santaolalla is incredible, some of favs: Motorcycle Diaries Also from Motorcycle Diaries and I think Ronroco also He also did great work on 21 grams and Amoros Perros. Chindie Posted December 10, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 10, 2012 The Heat soundtrack is indeed superb. I really like the Withnail and I soundtrack, great music matching a great film.
coda
Dunno about the rest of the soundtrack but I love this opening scene.

mjmooney Posted December 11, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2012 Never seen Raging Bull (or any of the Rocky series for that matter). In fact I think the only boxing movie I have seen is The Harder They Fall (needed it for my Bogart set).
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Raging Bull is a masterpiece. That word gets used liberally these days but it is certainly the case with that film.
Anthony Posted December 11, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2012 Well, American Grafitti is a good soundtrack, but basically it's just a huge collection of fifties hits. My favourite though is Until the End of the World - I never tire of listening to it and I've had it since 1991...
choffer Posted December 19, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 19, 2012 Watching The History Boys. Pretty much the soundtrack to my youth

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I rewatched 'The Conversation' again recently. A brilliant film, and a great jazz soundtrack. Although, the main theme is just wonderful.

mjmooney Posted January 16, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted January 16, 2013 Things like that Ron Goodwin CD always have me stressing over what is "the original" - OK, the themes were written by RG, but are these recordings the ones off the actual soundtrack, or a bunch of re-recordings?
