bully
A spiced up version of ghost riders would be my choice as I do not really know the sabbath songs well enough to comment. Anyone got any Sabbath links to their preferred choices?
thetrees
I have gone for Ride of the Valkyries-tenuous Brummie link. Wasn't this the tune that use to back Cozy Powell's live drum solos? (Cozy's dad used to live in Sutton) I still quite like the idea of Sabbath/Ozzy, but would think that Mr. Crowley would be a rousing intro. Hurricane Smith should also feature in the playlist as it relates to our most glorious era. The present practise of playing the intro music again as they run out for the second half should be stopped. And please none of this plastic new stadium-music when we've scored crap that is so common at Bolton, Middlesbrough and Blackburn
thegiddygambler
I miss the "We're the Holte End"song option from the CD :winkold: Though, the Spizz song would do for me. I know what you mean! We're the Holte End is ace :winkold:

villab0y
Come on people, Ride of the Valkyries is shockingly cheesy... We need something tht can be used as an anthem!!!!! SPIZZ!!!!!!!!!
TheSufferingVilla
I know the general suggested the Halls of Montezuma/Marines Hymn I know the idea doesn't sound too appealing but at my old school we used to sing a version of it at rugby matches and believe me when theres a crowd belting out that tune it's simply terrific nearly as spine shiverring as flower of scotland. Lion-heart
Just listened to Spizz for the first time. It's got potential, not polished enough in my view, but re-recorded it will be great. Theme from an unknown silent movie after half time though
spizzenergi
Thanks to everybody who has voted for The Sun Never Sets on Aston Villa for those who haven't heard it here's an Mp3 address for you to listen to or download for free. http://www.spizzenergi.com/villa/SunNeverSets.mp3'>http://www.spizzenergi.com/villa/SunNeverSets.mp3 The song was previously shortlisted a few years ago in a similar vote for a Song for Villa in the club programme in a midweek match against Coventry. It was the only song not adapted from an older pop tune like Cliff Richard's or Jeff Beck's. I just like to add I wrote it with the terraces in mind. See the link below for Happy Xmas (War is Over) performed in a Villa shirt and near the end on the pitch with the Holte End in view! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbGgpHIdX0E 100% Villa Spizz http://www.spizzenergi.com

Theme from an unknown silent movie after half time though Agree with you on that mate, definitely needs re-recording - could be the one. Also think guitars don't work too well for an anthem, wouldn't mind it going a bit more electro pop if possible.
spizzenergi
I am quite prepared to re-record it for a modest budget from R L
