sexbelowsound
Big fan of Guidetti but has even kicked a ball yet this season? If we were to take him on loan for the rest of the season we could well spend a proportion of that nursing him back to match fitness. Permanent deal, yes. On loan, no for me. AVFCforever1991
Why don't we just get him Loan, with a agreed Price to buy? For Guidetti Cause then if he flops, we can always send him back

Qwpzxjor1
I don't think there will be a buy option possible; Man City are very keen on him. He's been injured and not up to speed in the Premiership, but apparently there's alot of people at City who are saying they won't need to buy a replacement for Balotelli as Guidetti is rated so highly. Loans only really work for the loanee club when they get a player of a higher calibre than they would normally be able to afford, as good as Guidetti might be (either currently or potentially), I'd like to think we can afford someone more guaranteed than a 20-year-old with no experience who's coming back from injury.
dudevillaisnice
Linked with Glenn Murray in the DM...
HalfTimePost
Cant see us going for Murray, he's 29. It just doesn't fit with what Lamberts building. If he was a midfielder, maybe... but nah I don't buy it.
Willy_Evergo
Are we planning on spending? Saw that we were one of three clubs to oppose greater controls over spending.

Dr_Pangloss
Getting released by a club like Besiktas probably tells you all you need to know about him.
Dr_Pangloss
What happened to Malouda? I guess he's over the hill for top level football but that said could probably offer us something and would do better than Insomnia. Not sure he fits in with Lambert's strategy though. Troglodyte Posted December 20, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 20, 2012 Definite no to Quaresma. Obviously there's talent there, but has the complete opposite mentality of what Lambert is looking for.

Troglodyte Posted December 20, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 20, 2012 The anti-MON way is generally the right way when it comes to transfers.
AndyBM
this thread has gone a little stale past few days, is there nothing juicy to talk about? like a top young foreign player or that were going in under the noses of a league rival for the next england star etc? :-)
AvfcRigo82
So whats the latest about this Dale Stephens guy. Is it nailed on? Is he likely to add anything to our squad etc if there is any truth to it? .

ozvillafan Posted December 20, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted December 20, 2012 Young? Talented? Level-headed? Hungry? Foreign? Relatively cheap? Attacking midfielder? Why not Tommy Rogic from the A-League side Central Coast Mariners? He's recently broken into the Australian national side and is running the show for his club, who are currently top. Worth a punt, IMO. Here's the obligatory youtube link of a recent game
