smetrov
Whatever happened to this place ? It was always packed out thurs & saturdays in Needless alley during the 80's It then moved closed to the Alexandra Theatre, although I didn't visit at often it went to bookings only and always seemed totally packed out. Then it moved to dubious premises in exeter street - which I never visited - out of the blue - it closed. It was always a great night out - and seemed so poular - I always wondered why some savvy business person didn't open a rival pub. Its been closed some years now - with nothing like it for miles around - although the idea thrives in other cities, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool.... So whatever happened to Mr Bill and his bierkellar ? - and will it (or something similar) ever return ?
mikeyp102
Remember it near the Alex, was a good laugh, but often found it was a cock feast... Can only think when it moved trade dropped
theboyangel
It briefly turned into The Forum or The Foundary - a live music venue which didn't last long either. Remember seeing Feeder there just before they made it failry big! Had some good laughs at Mr Bills - usually ended up soaked!

Brumerican
Brum's nightlife has gone downhill fast in the last 10 years. I enjoyed it so much more in the late 90's .
Xela
Went a few times.. would have been late 90's. Was a good laugh. Then onto the Dome II.

John
Some great nights out there in the early 80s particularly when it was in Needless Alley. Long gone like many of the pubs of the 70s & 80s such as The Parisian, The Golden Eagle and The Parasol to name but 3.
