VillaChris
Well done Woy for not bowing to the ridiculous public pressure and calling up that word removed Terry again. Are people missing his woeful performance against Germany in the last world cup. Also his lack of pace has been exposed at international level against the very best so that forces England to drop deeper and deeper, concede possession and you know the rest.
Stevo985 Posted February 13, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted February 13, 2014 Yeah but he and Cahill have been excellent this season. I wouldn't mind seeing that partnership for England.
villa4europe
yep, beggars cant be choosers jagielka and cahill 1st choice partnership isnt great, smalling and jones as 3rd and 4th choice shows how shit we are i cant stand terry but he'd be an improvement on what we've got

Voinjama
I'm glad Terry has not been picked, but that's not because he is a prick, it's because it is a step backwards.
PaulC
Should he choose Shaw over Cole for the squad? We have to look to the future and taking Shaw as cover for Baines will be a good experience for him.
Voinjama
Baines has to be the left back for the world cup now. I still think Cole for 2nd choice, Shaw lacks experience at this level.
AVFCforever1991
How many games has Cole played this season? Baines has to start.

Yes but if you're good enough your old enough! He's playing regularly in the Premier League which Cole isn't.
villa4europe
since when has playing for your club team mattered to the england manager? that not just roy either, been like that for as long as i can remember i'll be amazed if cole isnt named in the squad, wouldnt however put it past roy to name 3 left backs, sure his last squad had cole, baines and gibbs in it

Will he pick Sterling who has been outstanding for Liverpool in recent weeks. Interesting options in wide positions now!
villa4europe
i think with walcott out he has to pick sterling, not sure if he'll pick johnson (or if johnson will keep this form up)
peterms
Already we are getting threats of suicide bombers at the World Cup. Something must be done.
TRS-T
FA back Hodgson to remain in England post until at least 2016 Have they learned nothing from 2010? Let's see how he does in Brazil first. He has to get out of the group at least.

Zatman
have to say Ive no idea where you got that idea from. Their has been no indication that the FA would sack him especially a man that hasnt lost a competitive game. wouldnt mind him at Villa if he was let go by FA.
