useless
I saw a nice painting on the BBC documentary 'Apples, Pears and Paint: How to make a Still Life Painting.' I think it was by Picasso, but now I can't find it anywhere.
sharkyvilla
To be honest I prefer going to Tate Modern and thinking wtf is that, rather than looking at a load of normal old paintings, especially portraits of people. Seen one person, seen them all.
Popular Post dAVe80
A collection of Hieronymous Bosch's work has been gathered, in his home town of Den Bosch, in Holland. Wonderful and bat shit crazy work it is too.
useless
I've just re-watched the last half an hour (when I remembered the painting being shown) for clues, and the painting didn't even feature this time. I think my favourite painting might actually exist only as a false memory and therefore is one of my own creations.
useless
I've always wanted a copy of 'The Giant Golden Book of Biology' for the illustrations. But it's pretty expensive. Charley Harper
useless
I watced an art documentary on the BBC iplayer , that was Jo Brand walking around a Grayson Perry exhibition, looking at different pieces and then looking into the camera (the one filming her) and giving her take on it. I'm not sure what to make of Perry's art, indeed it's pleasant to look at but I'm not sure I'm fully on board, but then again I haven't seen it in real life. chrisp65
I do like the ceramics of Grayson Perry very much. I don't know too much back story and I can't say I've studied the work or its meaning in any great detail. But at a superficial knowing what I like level, his ceramics are right up my alley. I've had a tiny dabble in ceramics and it's very much on my 'to do' list once work, credit card bills and kids aren't priorities 1 to 10.
useless
Yeh true, I think he's seen as the antithesis to a lot of the 'modern art' that's been so popular in the media.

I got a copy of today's Guardian - but it went straight in the paper pile for lining pets' cages and hutches, unopened and unread. I'll go and dig it out. mjmooney Posted January 7, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted January 7, 2017 Not cool. Sinister and disturbing. But then that's a legitimate response to art.

sexbelowsound
Got bored so decided to make these. Really wanted to make some Villa ones but, well, the current crop are hardly a source of great inspiration. I'm going to start chucking the rest up here.
