BOF Posted November 24, 2006 Moderator Share Posted November 24, 2006 Just a thought. I don't think we've ever had a break down of whether people in here are normies, veggies or vegan. I'm more interested in why someone wouldn't be a carnivore than the actual numbers. Personally I subscribe to the motto "I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat grass". avfc443
I'm omnivore (well, probably more like carnivore with the amount of meat I eat). My girlfriends a Veggie, mainly because she was brought up as one.
NeilS
I'm Omnivore as well. I like the Al Murray line "I've no need to eat greens because the cows have already eaten all the greens I'll ever need" or something like that..

BillyShears
I'm vegetarian. I just don't like eating meat, it makes me feel sick. I wear leather shoes, eat cheese, drink milk etc, just don't want to put it in my body because it feels like weird man. :?

Trinity-Tom
I became a vegetarian 7 months ago after a couple of years of deliberation.
markeefc
I'm a meat eater but do try to have a meat free day each week for no other reason than I think it does my body good. I have no problem with people choosing the veggie/vegan path but not try and 'force it down my neck' excuse the pun. It amazes me that they think that the planet could feed everyone on a veggie diet. There are enough starving people on the planet as it is.
Trinity-Tom
FWIW I don't think there is anything immoral or wrong with eating meat. It's just a personal choice as I do not like the idea of an animal dying to feed me!
Kitey
I'm a bird of prey. I eat most things, very little milk protein and very little sugar though because they upset my digestion. Edit: Most things = healthy stuff
