DeepDish
Norway beat Cyprus 3-1 away and has had a good qualifying week, with a 1-1 draw away at Switzerland last Friday. And the U21 beat France 5-3 today and has qualified for the championsship. There are a lot of very talented young Norwegian players now.

Hev
Thanks goodness they are playing it tomorrow - couldn't have stood the Prem being closed down for another weekend to fit this game in. It was hilarious watching Adrian Chiles and Co trying to fill the time until they could go off the air

maqroll
Why build a stadium with a retractable roof if you're not going to use the retractable roof when it rains? This is one of the more idiotic screw ups I've ever seen

Qwpzxjor1
Players would always prefer to play without the roof. It changes the humidity and the makes the air much thicker which can make players misjudge crosses, goalkeepers misjudge dives, etc.. They either had a poor weather report which said that the rain was going to be a manageable amount, or they simply decided to risk it because they didn't want to play under conditions they hadn't trained for. Whether they think the England players could have adapted quicker, or whether we've been training for closed-roof conditions.. but it strikes me that the Polish FA yesterday never had any intention of closing that roof. A very bad error of judgement which I hope really costs them.
coda
I don't have much faith in the Polish authorities. I hope they've closed that damn roof.
Genie
Apparently they had to wait for the rain to stop before closing the roof, which they did about mid-night last night. They've had the under pitch heating on to dry the playing surface. It'll probably cut up like crazy now at game time.
The_Steve
Hodgson's got his tactics wrong so far. Neither Cleverely or Milner are not wingers, the former is playing too central. Too many aimless long balls up to Defoe.
