KevinRichardsonsMoustache
Fascinating how the talk after the final is about why England can’t keep possession, why they aren’t technical enough…pretending it’s 1998 or 2002. The players are not the problem. This is the most technically gifted group of players in English history. Look at what they do for their clubs. Fine there were one or two players who perhaps shouldn’t have started, but the fact is another coach could set up a similar XI and play a damn sight better. The English media’s inability to understand tactics or how modern football teams should set up, means that we’re not getting a proper post mortem. if this groupthink is happening in the FA too, I fear that this will be the high point for England

theboyangel
I can’t believe all of the ‘top’ pundits on sky sports news were seriously hoping for Southgate to stay on… They are all utterly useless and need their heads testing! now is the perfect time to politely thank him for his efforts whilst pointing him towards the exit door!

WallisFrizz
Not sure where to put this because the brand thread is closed for some reason but it looks like Sky are marketing a new big 7 instead of big 6 and it’s not us that are in it. Given that Newcastle finished 4th and 7th in the last two seasons and we finished 7th then 4th, not sure why they get this added marketing bonus that we don’t or even if it means anything really. 2
Captain_Townsend
We have a far richer and successful history than Newcastle. We both finished 2nd twice in the 90s. Under no criteria, except maybe stadium capacity, can they be considered bigger than us.

Don't get why people are writing this as new information - Sky Bet did this last summer!

Saw it on Twitter, presumed it must be a new thing as some Newcastle fan has already written an article on it.

MrBlack
Good news... Garth Crooks is no longer doing team of the week. Hopefully also means the BBC stop wasting some of our licence payers money on him. Bad news... just when you think things couldn't get any worse, the BBC have replaced him with Troy Deeney. Idiots. 1 1 1

It's hard for them to form a decent argument when you point out that Villa have won an FA Cup, 5 league cups, a league title a european cup and a european super cup since Newcastle last won... ANYTHING. 70 years ago Fans will argue about club size for eternity. But no club has an overinflated perception like Newcastle do
