Davkaus
Yes Martin, but they've both won world cup's. I know which I'd prefer. Well he's from Northern Ireland, he never had much of a chance at a World Cup.

TrentVilla Posted June 21, 2014 Moderator Share Posted June 21, 2014 Did O'Neill have another go before the game today? I thought I just caught the end of something but couldn't quite hear it.

HanoiVillan
He has some good points. It'll be a lot easier to like him when we've finally finished clearing up the mess he left behind at our football club. He'll probably be retired by then though. roonst83
Joe Speight (the ITV commentator) has been really good so far. Shame about Lee Dixon who he was paired with, sounded like he couldn't be arsed to even be there. Dixon is the modern day Lawrenson - trying to make funny comments to put down the commentator or presenter - just comes across like a clearing in the woods. Dr_Pangloss
Dixon has a hard time saying tackle, he pronounces it as 'tattle'.

The_Rev
The Robbie Savage rant on England just now: Savage - I think Roy should lose his job. England have no structure, they need structure. Get someone like Glenn Hoddle in charge, get Gary Neville involved. Murphy - Gary Neville is involved. Savage - Yeah, but...
Popular Post TrentVilla Posted June 24, 2014 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted June 24, 2014 Glenn Hoddle, bloody Glenn Hoddle I'm so sick of hearing people in the media, people on the radio and fans in general talking about Glenn pissing Hoddle. Twunts like Savage calling for him to be involved with England seem to have forgotten that he has already had a go, he got to the 2nd round with a squad packed full of the sort of talent old Woy can only dream about. He then followed that up with an iffi qualification campaign for the following European Championships. So no, he isn't the perfect man as he has already proven. But above and beyond this people seem to have forgotten that the man is a despicable A hole who thinks people are disabled and suffer other afflictions because of sins in former lives. Piss off Hoddle. Oh and they also seem to have forgotten that he got the boot from Spurs and Wolves after England and hasn't managed any team in 8 years, 8 bloody years. And this man is seen as the saviour of English football because he was a 'technical player' do e a favour. Savage and the rest of them need to shut the hell up.

Add to that he thought during the intermission of the Honduras game that the starting eleven for the Italy game should have Gerrard and Lampard as the two holding midfielders... rodders0223
Tim Vickery is an absolutely fantastic pundit who really knows his football and puts the other BBC clowns to shame. Agreed his is the one article I always look out for as its always an interesting insight into South American football. Luckily he is freelance so you get him on other stations as well He is absolutely top notch, in most situations you could pretty much ask him about any player, be it some Bolivian journeyman or a world class talent and he will reel off his talent and his flaws, his performances in domestic competitions, international competitions, his character traits, even how he played 10 years ago in an under 17 tournament. You are lucky if any of our domestic, former players and 'experienced; pundits even know, or have ever watched play top talents lighting up the tournament, like James Rodriguez for example, You are lucky if they can even pronounce his name. CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I would much, much rather have professional journalists report on the World Cup rather than bloody Alan Shearer walking around in slow-mo instagram-cam talking about the trials and tribulations of footballers.
