CardiffGreens
MoTD pundits question whether dropping Cole for Shaw is the right thing to do - as "it'd be a lot of pressure on the youngster" (should Baines be injured in the first game)... It's funny how none of them have expressed an opinion on this sort of selection before isn't it?
The_Rev
There was a bit in the latest issue of Private Eye where they quoted pundits and journos singing David Moyes' praises when he got the job then putting the boot in by saying he was never the right man when he was sacked.

Brilliant. Half of these pundits make their opinions up on the spot without giving any insight or true thought and reasoning behind their comments. I'd be surprised if you get these sorts of conflicting comments from the likes of Neville

Jarpie
As someone from the country where we have three distinctly different sets of papers/magazines; the proper newspapers where they report only actual news and events based on facts (well, mostly), two "afternoon" papers which tend to be somewhat sensationalistic but they do report real news along with more sensationalistic stories and then couple tabloids which are just utter rubbish with celebrity rumours and shit like that, so I am interested to know are all papers in England like Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Mirror, Sun etc. who just utterly vile and horrible piece of shit sensationalistic tabloids or are the actual newspapers mostly regional? Unless I've gathered wrong, many papers are also very much aligned with different politics, in Finland some newspapers have slight leanings toward a bit more right or left, but nothing more pronounced unless you count political magazins/papers. Dr_Pangloss
Andy Townsend is a useless word removed of a commentator, I heard him say 'get in' when Bale scored the other day, he's a prize prick of the highest imaginable order and I have to say it, worse than Quinn. I wouldnt say Tactics truck is a p**k just merely a idiot. As he is the last Villa captain to lift a trophy I have some fondness of him as a player, but not as a pundit. My first ever Villa game was when we played Forest and Townsend both scored and got sent off. Salad days.

Voinjama
Midfield is probably Villas strongest position over the Premier League era, especially in the MON top 6 days.
