HolteEndRob
There's no doubting Holmans workrate, he just needs to be alot better in possession. So far so good. We do look too lightweight in midfield though
The_Steve
Holman is guilty of over playing his passes. He's shown glimpses of good link up play but let down when it matters. At least he isn't running the ball out of play like Zoggy.
samjp26
I just hope we can keep the tempo up, and keep pressing like we have been doing throughout the first half. Another goal within the first 10 minutes please!
mjmooney Posted September 2, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 2, 2012 Holman MOTM for me so far Holman has been immense He has easily covered more ground than any other player on the pitch so far he may not have the passing ability but id rather him track back all the time and provide protection for the inexperienced Lichaj than provide 300 useless hollywood passes a game like bannan tries Fair enough, I'm not watching the game. But just about EVERY other poster has said he gives the ball away every time he touches it, and needs taking off.
pete165
Great improvement on last season. More one touch passing, less hoofing, more ball-pressing. all Lambert's signings look better than what we had.

AVFCforever1991
His work rate is unmatched, but his quality on the ball is terrible.
CI
Money on Clark and Vlaaaaar today. A cheeky corner maybe. 8) Wow, quoting yourself :-) embarrassing. ;-)
pete165
Holman is going to grow on fans - he's often a bit shoddy technically, but he has a hell of an engine and his energy is priceless.
The_Steve
Holman has double the work rate of Zoggy.

AshVilla
Are we playing at home here? This stuff is quality 5 mins into the 2nd half and we have already had 2 corners WDFAFC but at least it stops Newcastle getting forward

flamingsombrero
KEA barking orders before kick off. Nice one. While I'm already impressed with his level of performance I think by the time we get to the midway point of the season he will be completely running the show for us. AVFCforever1991
If holman can work on his technical side of his game, then he will be a great player for us..

sexbelowsound
One of the smartest things Lambert has done is bring in Ron Vlaar and Karim El Ahmadi from Feyenoord. Both used to being the senior players in a team that has been forced to focus on youth like ourselves.
Laivasse
Holman's came into the game with a lot of confidence and positivity against Everton. He's been among our less reliable midfielders today and has been anonymous in some other games so I wonder if it's a case of nerves with him.
