StanBalaban
Well done lad. Well done. Couldn't have been easy after the own goal. That's a good point. He's 22 I believe, unexpectedly gets some game time today and scores an OG. His head could easily have dropped but he put in a great shift. roonst83
The boy did well. Held up play well, great cross for Weimann's (outstanding) header and chased everything down all game. Top marks to J-Bowz today
Big_John_10
Well done for not being a **** up once and because of that don't worry about the loss of points your presence has contributed to in the past. You won't be playing next season or ever again. Bye.

Has he contributed to Aston villa being successful? Define successful. He just played a massive part in helping us win 3 vital points today. He's a young bit-part player making a massive step up. Support him rather than shitting on him?
Big_John_10
He's gone with the majority of the rest of the shit that's been signed. Good riddance.

After possibly his best performance in a villa shirt is there any need for such a dickish post? Great response to scoring an unlucky own goal with a (IMO) motm performance. Just enjoy the win this evening and go back to the relentless negativity in the morning.

Big_John_10
Well if one or two decent performances is good enough Heksey should be a villa legend. Strange how people change their views to suit the manager they support.

If Bowery was signed by O'Neill or was an academy product would you really be acting like this towards him right now in light of today's game? Papillon
Cool for him to do well after scoring the own-goal, many could have overreacted and done even worse (see Gerrard against Chelsea, trying to shoot more than Tonev in the second half). Now he has played at Villa Park and won a game, time to go back to League 1 where he belongs

So once an opinion is formed it is set in stone, yeah? Why would you bemoan a bit of praise for a lad who has had a difficult time finally putting in a good performance? AndyM3000
Yes he isn't good enough for us and he isn't good enough for the Premier League but he came on and put 100% effort in and did really well. Edited May 3, 2014 by AndyM3000
