LondonLax
If we're safe when we play against Wigan then I hope we lose to send one of the other clubs down **** that. I hope we win both games and finish 9th!
dont_do_it_doug.
Right, so as things are right now, we're almost 100% certain to stay up. The following needs to happen for us to go down... Wigan take 5 points more than us from Swansea (H), Arsenal (A), Villa (H) AND Sunderland take 3 more points than us from Stoke (H), Southampton (H), Spurs (A) AND Newcastle take 2 more points than us from QPR (A), Arsenal (H) AND Norwich take 2 more points than us from WBA (H), Man City (A) AND Southampton take 1 more point than us from Sunderland (A), Stoke (H) Every single one of those things need to happen for us to get relegated What are the odds on that? Bookies are offering 40/1 apparently, but that would require something genuinely unique. Where the hell are Norwich getting points from? They simply have to win next weekend. Stoke and Sunderland playing each other is a plus. Throw Southampton into the mix, they can't all win. Newcastles game is massive. A shock win for QPR and they have to play Arsenal who are battling for 4th? Wigan. Yeah, they're Wigan. But if they don't win themselves Tuesday would you really fancy them against Arsenal a few days after the cup final? If something nuts happens and they all win those "must win" games then fair enough, game on. As it stands, what a fight back from the villa boys.
AstonMartin82
I think we'll be safe now even if we lose our last two games of the season. I can see both Newcastle and Norwich not picking up enough points to catch us even if Wigan do once again get out of it.
Morpheus
I'm sure Lambert will strengthen the defence. Lets hope the second time around will be better than the first?
villarule123 Posted May 4, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 4, 2013 QPR v Newcastle and Norwich v WBA is massive. If either of them is a draw then we're almost certainly going to stay up with them both having terrible last games.
