(In a scenario where if we've nothing to play for by the time we play Brighton) I would actually hope they beat us if it meant they got 4th place over them both. I never want Villa to lose but it would be fantastic if it all materialised that way.

Scouse not English as they say up there. my issue with it is that what portion of a liverpool crowd would you say are actually from liverpool? 50% at best ? they've previously investigated it and found that only 22% of their season ticket holders have a liverpool postcode, bump it up a little bit for scousers who have left the city but return for the football but still i'd say a max of 50%?? its the cult of liverpool fc, these weird glory hunting out of towners who lap up this never walk alone and scouse not english bullshit despite being from kidderminster, to me they seem to exacerbate everything because just like them its all fake and for show in an attempt to prove that they really are a genuine fan and not the plastic glory hunter that everyone else thinks they are it doesn't work...clearings in the woods the lot of them, they're a guy from the midlands booing the national anthem to try and show the world they're a die hard liverpool fan...grow up

So weird. cream rises to the top they've still got a £700m odd squad and when they were struggling managed to bolster it with £40m gakpo, it was the form for the first half of the year that was out of character not the current form still think they're swimming against the tide though, couple more years "competing" with man city whereas in reality they're settling for 4th, then fighting for 4th and "winning" it, then slip out all together, for me its all about when they replace klopp and hopefully its too late

VillaJ100
Agree with the squad comments, they've been like an unreliable supercar, when it's all working it's amazing and you get things like the 7-0 but when it breaks it's a nightmare. And it's just going to break more and more unless serious money spent

duke313
Liverpool going to appoint Jorg Schmadtke as Sporting Director, their 3rd in 12 months. Never heard of him, but seems quite mid for a club of Liverpool's size, only been at some mid tier German clubs, biggest being Wolfsburg. Signed some diamonds in the rough and sold them for decent money, not exactly what Liverpool need if they have any intention of rejoining Man City at the top. The paradigm of football. ”waaaah, <club> spends £50m on a player it’s so unfair” but also ”well there’s no ambition at <club> unless they’re spending a fortune”
a-k
Quote Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested he will only pay his £75,000 Football Association fine if the money goes to "a good cause". The German said he would "like to know" and "if it does, I'm happy to pay it. If it doesn't, we need to talk again". https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65650176 1
