I knew he'd been ill for a while. Part of a select band of commentators that are instantly recognisable as soon as they speak and made watching the sport they commentate on more enjoyable. Sid came out with some cracking lines over the years and watching darts won't be the same without him.

RIP Sid.

RIP, the only person who ever made Darts watchable on the tellybox

Were you molested by a darts player as a child or something ? You really do have a huge bee in your bonnet about darts for some reason.

Tragic news. I didn't even know he was sick :( Without a doubt one of the greatest sports commentators there has ever been or ever will be.

Aww I liked him. When was the last time he was on commentating? I remember seeing some of the Workd Championships and they just kind of vaguely said he wasn't very well, and everyone was sending their best wishes to him. Didn't know it was the cancer though.

Lipstick.
