tonyh29
1. Goldfinger 2. Goldeneye 3. Golden delicious crisps You could have gone golden gun! Which IMO is another great bond film, Lee is very good in it overlooking that the Crisps are called Golden Wonder and the apple is called Golden Delicious unless Gareth is inventing a hybrid called a Crapple or something
Zhan_Zhuang
You could have gone golden gun! Which IMO is another great bond film, Lee is very good in it The Man With the Golden Gun is also excellant. Christopher Lee was Ian Fleming's nephew and really wanted to be part of a Bond movie.
Shillzz
I loved Dalton in the Living Daylights. Gritty, cheeky womanizer who fitted with the times perfectly. Then he was majorly let down by the crap writing for License To Kill and then the dispute happened. Gutted he didn't make more. I accept I am probably in the minority here. I liked Dolton in the living daylights, but that may just be because I absolutely hated Roger Moore as James Bond and was just glad to see someone else take the mantle. GarethRDR
I had a brain fart. Either/or. Actually, go with the crapple line, I like the sound of that.
Stevo985 Posted July 31, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted July 31, 2012 I didn't think Bond needed re-inventing and I just cannot buy into Daniel Craig as 007. Pierce Brosnan every time. Erm, did you see Die Another Day? It's one of the shittest films I've ever seen. If anything proved that Bond DID need reinventing, it was that "effort" FWIW I think Craig is a fantastic Bond, and the "reinvention", if that's the right word, has been the best thing to ever happen to Bond That being said, my top 3 would probably be 1. Casino Royal 2. Goldeneye 3. Goldfinger Hoping Skyfall can get in at 1 or

But I'd put that down to the supporting actors, Halle Berry for example was terrible. I also think every Bond can be afforded one poor Movie, even Connery had a couple. BUT, my opinion remains that James Bond films have always had a unique character to them, and re-inventing them into what they are now just puts them into the mix with all the other modern day action films. They are no longer unique and no longer fun, easy viewing, as they should be. (IMO ofcourse)

irreverentad
QoS was that bad I still haven't got round to purchasing it. That is coming from someone who owns all of the previous films. I must say it dented my interest in Bond a bit too.

mjmooney Posted July 31, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted July 31, 2012 I will concede that Craig is easily the best Bond since Connery. If only the new films were set in the correct (50s/60s) era, instead of the present day, they would be even better. Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan can all do one though. coda
The franchise definitely needed revamping. Watched one of the Brosnan films at the cinema and people were sarcastically cheering and clapping during the stunts. Casino Royale was a great update. jon_c
1. Goldfinger 2. You only live twice 3. Goldeneye I actually think Dalton was a good bond, just his films weren't that good. Hated Casino Royale and Quantum, found them both incredibly boring.

Voinjama
Not a huge Bond fan but: 1. GoldenEye 2. Casino Royale 3. You Only Live Twice I remember about 10 years ago, our Stan Collymore was rumoured to be the new James Bond. Like most things in his life it was all potential and no substance and reality. Houlston
Just don't get the love for Casino Royale, apart from the very beginning and the near end scene its one of the most long winded, boring Bonds ever. For most parts I may as well have been watching Sky Poker interspersed with a couple of random fights.
villa4europe
i think the hype comes from how refreshing it was, thought mikkelsen was well cast, so was green and obviously DC, it was also very well written IMO the free running on the building site is one of my favourite bond scenes
