AVFCforever1991
I second that, No chance we are finishing 17th. Shouldn't only be Stevo getting singled out, it seems! Was always confident
The_Rev
1] Manchester United 1 2] Manchester City 2 3] Chelsea 3 4] Arsenal 4 5] Liverpool 7 6] Tottenham Hotspur 5 7] Everton 6 8] Newcastle United 16 9] Sunderland 17 10] Southampton 14 Villa - 12th 15 Relegated - Reading, Wigan, Stoke 13 I'm fairly happy with mine. I got the top 4 spot on, correctly named the clubs who would finish 5th, 6th and 7th (albeit in the wrong order) and got two of the three relegated clubs. CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Oddly, it feels like the end of an era. For the first time in a while, I'm looking toward next season with a bit of excitement.

Stevo985 Posted May 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 20, 2013 Mine were absolutely awful, looking back. This post was fairly accurate though: Some mental predictions in here already (imo) Fulham 6th? QPR 8th?

Jimzk5
Don't think many people in england, let alone on villatalk would have tipped qpr to go down, id guess they were 100/1 to go down at the start of the season.

BOF Posted May 20, 2013 Moderator Share Posted May 20, 2013 id guess they were 100/1 to go down at the start of the season. As a newly-promoted side I can guarantee they'd have been nothing like those odds in the bookies. I agree that most of us expected more from them though.

It was there second season, spent a wodge on players, signed champions league winners from inter milan and chelsea, park, grenaro etc. 100/1 sounds about right to me
Stevo985 Posted May 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) I doubt they were anywhere close to 100-1 to go down But would be interesting to see those pre-season odds, for everyone. Edited May 20, 2013 by Stevo985
Zatman
I would say about 40/1 but probably 100/1 to be bottom considering the wages and fees
RunRickyRun
Newcastle were 33's so I'd imagine qpr would be much shorter. Edit - found some odds: Southampton 11/8, Reading 11/10, Norwich 6/4, Wigan 6/4, Swansea 9/4, West Ham 2/1, West Brom 7/2, QPR 5/1, Stoke 6/1, Aston Villa 13/
Jimzk5
I've had a quick Google search, earliest odds for qpr were from November when saggy chops took over, they were 11/1 to stay up. Id guess wigan, soton, reading, west ham, villa, west brom, mayby swansea too had shorter relegation odds than qpr at the start of the season

RunRickyRun
There's 3 relegation places so it's a 'place' bet rather that betting on the nose. Most bookies will 1/4 the odds for a top 3 finish in a 20 horse race so if you think in terms of that, you can see why the prices are so short.
