PauloBarnesi
The final performance of Ziggy Stardust Its 40 years since Bowie released the The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust; genius or overrated rubbish from the man who wrote the seminal Laughing Gnome
The_Rev
Low was clearly his best album.

PauloBarnesi
Low was clearly his best album. He’s got three or four albums that could claim that IMO; of course everything post Scary Monsters Super Creeps is on a massive diminishing scale... maqroll
I remember hearing "Ashes to Ashes" for the first time, and being absolutely stunned at the pure awesomeness. One of the greatest pop songs of all time.

It's interesting that he never really liked that song untill he sang it with Annie Lennox on the Freddie Mercury tirbute in '92. Then he said he never realised how great that song is. Before that he never played it live and it never appeared on his Greatest hits album. After that tribute he changed his mind. Well, I think it's interesting. Never really liked his music bar a few songs like Life on Mars which I think is great. Roger Taylor told Harry Doherty in '71/2 that he should check out and write more about that Bowie fellow as he thought he was going to be huge one day. He was right. villadude
**** love Bowie, seen him five times. Moonage Daydream is my fave track, Five Years is a very close second. Tin Machine was gash, and the drum n bass stuff he recorded was just embarrassing.

Xann
He generally knew when the wind was changing and chose his influences and co-conspirators accordingly. A total mutant and he can't sing, but genuine respect is due for his savvy.

He struggles in live performances these days, but you can forgive all these old rockers for that.
