PaulC
Time for Aston Villa and Gabby Agbonlahor to part ways. It'd be a disgrace to give a player who only turns up a handful of times per season a new contract. I'd much prefer us to use his wages elsewhere. It also means if he signs a four year contract then he'll be around 32 at the end of it and barely worth anything. I'd prefer to sell him now whilst he still has some transfer value. yes and by then he will have lost a lot of his pace and without that whats left! Time to move on and get some skill up front
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
Lambert thinks Gabby was excellent today and one of the main plus points.
kurtsimonw
He worked hard and did his job off the ball, but that's only half of a players game. On the ball he plays with no confidence at all.
samjp26
I have a theory that the club keeps Gabby because of us and that he only keeps being rewarded for not turning up on the pitch because the club thinks the fans appreciate him.
PieFacE Posted April 19, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 19, 2014 We need better than Gabby. He should be an impact player rather than first team. Just not good enough.
Ponky
Has played two blinders this season - Arsenal away and (I think it was) West Brom home. From that point of view he has been directly responsibly for about 1/6th of our points tally this season. The rest of the season he has been utterly abysmal. I suspect he keeps his place in the team in the hope that he will turn up, because when he does turn up he does it in a pretty big way.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
He's a threat when he wants to be, which is why I'd happily trade him (and his wages) in for a more consistent player.

No, Liverpool away was the other one.

pete101
said it so many times about the guy, he has a dream job, he plays for his boyhood club and gets paid handsomely for doing so, everyone of us would give our right arm to be in his situation, but he looks like he dose not care half the time
P3te
he looks like he dose not care half the time it's not that, even when he's playing well he kinda looks the same. he's just not that good

Sums it up really, doesn't it? Our highest paid player and we have to think back, trying to work out exactly when it was that he played good. Agree and even by his own half-a-good-season standards, this has been a woefully abject season. It will be laughable if he gets a four-year contract on the back of this. He no doubt will though if Lambert remains here.
ermie123
He must be lubing Lambert's rear end if Lambert thinks that his performance today was excellent!!!!!!! And he must be being spit roasted by Agbonlahor and Wiemann!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tarjei
Lambert is hopefully trying to give him a boost. Anything else is hard to believe.
bradarmstrong_
Few blinders maybe, but also cost us points at Cardiff when he took about 20 seconds to get a shot away from about 8 yards out.

grobs
Should be dropped and tonev should be brought it. Gabby has done absolutely nothing to suggest to me that he should constantly be picked despite form.
