BOF Posted January 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted January 1, 2014 Fair point jjaacckk. The counter argument to that is that this is OGS's first attempt at the Premier League and if he fails it could be a tarnished reputation. Yes Tan is an extenuating circumstance but OGS is a young manager and it's risky putting a failure on your CV and Cardiff is a higher chance of a failure. Electric Avenue
Haven't molde gone like 10 games without a win. Ogs is over-rated IMHO.

The_Lions_Roar
Will be interesting, would of thought he'd of wanted a more stable club. If it all goes tits up then I think he'll struggle to make a career as a manager. A move to a championship club would of been the beat bet for him to start. With tan in charge I think he'll do well to be able to look past their next 10 games. He'll have money to spend so he won't really have any excuses if he fails to keep Cardiff up. This move will either make or break him as a manager.

rosenthal
Expect OGS to try sign Orjan Nyland, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Mats Moller Daehli and Mame Biram Diouf
vandaq
Daehli will surely happen but I think united might have a word. There has to be some contract between them and molde, it was weird how easy they got him.
Rovers13
Will be interesting to see how Norway's second best manager (after Staale Solbakken) will do in the Premier League. Ronny Deila?
maqroll
Poor, poor Ole. He seemed so happy in that video tour of his club back in Norway. He's gonna leave that cocoon of contentment for a cauldron of crazy? Like sheep to slaughter...

NoelVilla
Expect OGS to try sign Orjan Nyland, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Mats Moller Daehli and Mame Biram Diouf Norwegian football that strong? Sounds like a big mistake to me.

That would have involved turning down Mr Tan, which would have meant certain death by his henchmen!

Sounds like a big mistake to me. Daehli can make it big. He was the academy player of the year at manu two years ago as well. Would not make any impact right now but he has a future. Looks really composed at the ball as well. Not his biggest fan myself but he plays like someone that is much older. Eikrem is not good enough, Nyland might happen. As for Diouf, he is not Norwegian. Genie
It does seem a bizarre move for OGS. Maybe he is being offered too much money to refuse?
smetrov
It does seem a bizarre move for OGS. Maybe he is being offered too much money to refuse? OK - A dodgy chairman - but reportedly £30m to spend in Jan - whilst they are in the relegation dogfight, the position is recoverable . The other reported overtures Everton\Villa\WBA have no where near that clout in the market...

Surprised he's going to work for that nutter.
