CI
The likes of Dunne, Collins, Warnock and Ireland would eat Martinez for breakfast He strikes me as a nice man, who wears a nice crisp suit and a silk tie, polite but timid and weak, his Wigan team are generally woeful for most of the season He won't come to us anyway so we needn't worry
Mantis
Martinez would probably ship out the likes of Dunne, Collins and Warnock. Needn't worry? I'd love Martinez here. He's still much better than McLeish.
Valhalla
Martinez didn`t want to come here last season, he definatly won`t now.

Look at McLeish. He's the opposite of of Martinez (negative, dour, comes across as a prick) yet he clearly can't handle anything.
foreveryoung
Bin dippers after Martinez. I would hate this. As for Martinez not handling Dunne and Collins. He seemed to get the best out of Nzog, Moses, who have been known to be disruptive??
TrentVilla Posted May 13, 2012 Moderator Share Posted May 13, 2012 well he got the best out of NZogbia who has one of the biggest egos in football...even when he knew Zogbia wanted to leave the club... Actually no I don't think he did, like everyone else who has managed N'Zogbia he struggled to get the best out of him. The only time he got the best out of him was before the January window when he almost went to Birmingham and at the end of his last season when again he was playing for a move. I don't think you can credit Martinez with getting the best out of N'Zogbia, his form in those two spells was down to the player himself and all about the player himself which is rather typical of the guy. Valhalla
A)he could sell them you don`t have to be a hard man to get players playing for you. The modern player doesn`t respond well to that anyway. They can just go somewhere else and pick up silly money.

I'm not actually Martinez's biggest fan however I don't think anyone could label him as weak and have a credible point personally.
kidlewis
sod it, if we are dammed to mid table mediocrity get Di Canio in. Exciting, speaks his mind, doesn' take no crap from players or indeed the media or opposition. If post match interviews can be like this, awesome

No thanks. He is a right wing fascist. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/1506262/Im-a-fascist-not-a-racist-says-Paolo-di-Canio.html The player has, in his autobiography, praised Mussolini as "basically a very principled, ethical individual" who was "deeply misunderstood". nobler
@MatKendrick Reporter: 'Paul, will you still be at Norwich at the start of next season?' Lambert: 'Erm, erm, erm, it's difficult to answer that'
Czechlad
I hope Lerner first goes after some bigger names like Capello, AVB and Benitez just to try. Then when they most likely say no we move onto Lambert, Martinez or someone else.

Amo69
Havent read the rest of this thread but I can hand on heart say I would take any manager out there if it meant getting rid of Alex Mcleish. I'm talking anybody!!

The_Steve
Hughes plays terrible football. I'd rather see Lambert. Works within a set budget and knows how to get the most out of his squad.
