MONCABA
Does seem odd though. Surely Spurs must be after someone else to replace him. Hopefully Barry would not be used as part of any deal bringing in Defoe!! Wash your filthy mouth out. Scoundrel. I'm just playing Devils advocate. Grant(aka_eddy)
In fairness, we've been linked with a £12M bid for Defoe for some time now. However, I'm not getting carried away....remember the Juninho debacle? Thing is the Juninho debacle was true...even if he didnt sign in the very end. This rumour surfaced two days before the summer deadline and it didnt seem to be true that time. No offence to whoever posted it but it's just one of those that it's hard to believe til it happens. Not going to get excited...unless it happens. Wonder if nickrogers is flying over to Lichfield right now to scupper the deal?

ChrisVillan
"Yes sir, he's here. He arrived at 4.37pm today and is due to check out at 11am tomorrow. He is currently dining with Mr Martin O'Neill, who is currently on his second course, which is grilled breast of chicken in a garlic sauce on a bed of tagliatelle. Would you like me to fetch Mr Defoe and ask him to call you back?" I think not. True or not, phoning the hotel is pointless.
