Mammoth10
As many folk on here already know Stan Petrov is making his mark in over 35's football, his team Wychall are in action in another cup final this Sunday am against a team called Monica Star, champions of the top division (one above Wychall) and with their own stars such as *carsley and devlin* but notably Lee Hendrie too, so worth a trip to Boldmere St Michaels at 10.30 to watch this

GENTLEMAN
The Petrov bit made me sad.
Mantis
I rate Sanchez, Westwood, Gana etc but Petrov in his prime would still walk into the team. And we still haven't got anyone that can pull off long-range screamers like he could.

Jay.P.A
Back on his way to Villa? Has declared himself fit and is ready to play again. Says he wants to play for VIlla again. He'd be welcomed with open arms.

Loved him but no thanks.
Davkaus
Sentimentality has no place in player acquisitions. If we can't do better than a 37 year old Petrov, we're probably ****. Edited April 26, 2016 by Davkaus
Phumfeinz
Back on the coaching staff, perhaps.

Yes I agree that he hasn't played for 3 years, but would he be able to get to scratch in a few months?
StefanAVFC Posted April 26, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted April 26, 2016 Id take him as a presence in the dressing room. We don't have any leaders.
Pez1974
He should be welcomed with open arms into the dressing room as a part of the coaching staff. He seems like a person who would be well suited to a coach role, and perhaps more. With regards being a player - he should only be there on merit. Come back, train, and earn a contract, and I would be delighted. But next season will be hard, and sentiment will not get us promoted.

YLN
He may be 37, but he has the heart of a lion and the bone marrow of a nineteen year old.

Davkaus
Has he stopped being a coach? I thought Sherwood brought him back on board, when did he leave?
