Brumstopdogs
Give the lad a chance - he really can't do any worse than the totally ineffective Bannan or Heskey on the wings.
KjParton
Bannan was playing in that wing role today and you can clearly see he is not a winger, he doesn't make the runs a winger makes for the fullback and Hutton couldn't give him a pass. I'm sure Carruthers being a winger, will make those runs that are desperately needed, he can get into the box, take on a defender or two and send a good cross in. Give him a chance please MCECK
Adam_
Get him on against United..... Nothing to lose as most people will be expecting Villa to lose, so why not put him on and let him show what he can do!
03butpau
Might as well put him on against man utd, nothing to lose after all people need to be realsitic if they think we can go there and win
TezzRexx
I would have stuck him on on Monday against Stoke, put Zog on the left and Gardner in midfield, rather than bring on Heskey.

DeepDish
Even though we were shit against United, I think Carruthers looked good again today when he entered the field. Skillful with the ball, wants to get involved and tackles hard. He will be a good player.

PompeyVillan
He didn't look overawed at Old Trafford, which bodes well. Looks hungry to impress.
KjParton
Again he looked decent at OT - touched the ball several times as soon as he came on! Get him on more MCSHITFACE
DeepDish
I think we should start him against Sunderland. Given Cuellar - Baker - Collins - Lichaj N'Zogbia - Herd - Ireland - Carruthers Weimann - Agbonlahor

jim
Other than looking a tiny bit like Nasri I saw nothing in his performance today.
Houlston
Other than looking a tiny bit like Nasri I saw nothing in his performance today. So he skipped past a few players with ease, his control and balance was excellent, he looked confident even though he was playing against very good players at OT whilst his team was taking a drubbing, he didnt give the ball away and he even put in some good tackles, yet you saw nothing in his performance. PieFacE Posted April 15, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted April 15, 2012 Thought he looked excellent when he came on, very confident, even came across as a little arrogant in his style of play which is nice to see. Hope he pushes on and fulfills his potential as he certainly has a lot of it.

Bazdavies79
OK he was only on for a bit, and only had a few touches, but I really really liked the way he was shouting for the ball and was looking for the next pass even before he received it back. I liked his directness. First time I've seen him, he looks good.
dudevillaisnice
It's for his own good if he spends time in the reserves in the hope that another manager comes in and uses him and develops him properly.. or perhaps goes out on loan or something. McLeish will ruin him.
parisvilla
Is he a winger or a central midfielder? If he is the latter I have no idea how Gardner and/or Bannan have broken into the first team before him.
