Ingram85
After the mess that was the new Thief I've gone and bought Dishonoured: GOTY as I loved it but never got any of the dlc. Got it for £15 brand new. Bit of a bargain me thinks and its 10 times the stealth game the new Thief is. Looking forward to getting stuck into it again. villarule123 Posted May 10, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted May 10, 2014 Been playing a couple of older games on my Laptop recently (Skyrim, Bioshock, Mass Effect) and they're just completely different games to the older console versions. No framerate problems, 1080p and faster loading/saving. I'll hopefully be building a PC again next year and I'll just be using my PS4 for exclusives and FIFA/GTA. I'm guessing next year would be a good time to build a PC as it will have come down a lot in price and it should last me a long time as the new consoles will start holding them back again? Davkaus
Getting in to Smite over the past couple of days. Similar to Dota/LoL but it's third person rather than isometric which makes it feel more like an action game in an arena setting, really good fun and it's avoided the P2Win feel that Hi-Rez's other games have had. Also, I've played ~10 games and I've not been called a faggot yet, which must be a new record for mobas.
Designer1 Posted May 27, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted May 27, 2014 Finally played through the first season of The Walking Dead recently. I'm kind of disappointed in myself for taking so long to do so as it's one of the best things i've played the last few years. It's fantastically written and the emotional attachment to the characters is very well done indeed. If there's anyone who still hasn't given it a go, I suggest they do. Ginko
In that case get The Wolf Among Us as well. I prefer it to The Walking Dead, but that may be because I think the entertainment industry is a little over saturated with zombies at the moment.

Designer1 Posted May 29, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted May 29, 2014 Half-Life 2. Lost count of the amount of times i've played through that. Still don't think i've played an FPS that is better or more involving.

ender4
I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas for the past month. Near the end now, going to finish the main quest this weekend. Its good, but not as good as Fallout 3. Edited May 30, 2014 by ender4

I'm man enough to admit that I shed a tear or two when Duck died. It was absolutely awful.

hogso
I have delved in to the world of the visual novel - or VN's as they are known by weeaboo's the world over. The only one I have 'played' before is the first Evangelion Girlfriend of Steel which I recall being an absolute hoot - probably thanks to it being developed and produced by Gainax themselves as a 'missing' episode of the show. Now though I have tried something quite different in the form of Saya No Uta. Interesting thing about Song of Saya - it has no Japanese manga or anime adaptation, but it does have an American comic adaptation. I would no be surprised if it is unique in that respect. It's pretty **** unique to me in content as well. It is properly disgusting, highly disturbing, and downright horrific. It also includes many examples of what VN's are most notorious for - copious amounts of hentai pornography. Oh yes, I'm going there. Picture the scene. I'm maybe half hour in to the story, which, whilst grossing me out, is quite interesting. All of a sudden WHAM hardcore sex on my monitor. Really bizarre. I turned it off after that. Think I might just look at the ones that say 'all ages', if I give them a go again, as it seems if they aren't 'all ages' they are full of filth. An odd experience to say the least. A fan translated version is actually readily 'available', although I'm not sure about the stability of it. Will have to test and let you know.
