Can only assume they are expecting to get a lengthy transfer ban, this stock piling on players on 7+ year contracts should not be allowed, they are gaming the system, it’s just another way of cheating the sport in the long run.

they can stock up players on 50 year contracts if they want, it doesnt impact PSR anymore.

He can have a three way wrestle with Palmer and Madueke for the penalties!

They should be allowed to sign all the players they want. They just need to be given a ban on being able to loan out or sell players.

PFA apprently investigating and trying to get bomb squads banned

Wonder if we will ever see something radical like anyone ineligible for the youth team, not injured and not registered is eligible to move for free on subsidised wages

If they don't register sterling and they don't sell him before Saturday he can be picked up for £0 and £25k a week with Chelsea picking up the tab for the £275k a week for the remainder of what would have been his contract with them

Kind of like what yank sports do

That could be open to abuse. Player wanting a move to let's say "bigger, champions league club" not performing on purpose (how you gonna prove he is doing it purposefully or he is just shite) so he's excluded from the squad only to move for free...might be other ways to abuse it aswell.

How can they ban them? It's not practical. If the players want to leave they can go and take a wage cut to go play somewhere else.

Think its more isolating the players that they are worried about

I do think from our own experience that bomb squads are stupid ideas

They are stupid ideas but a manager can isolate players if he wants. It's not the PFA's business and they can't stop a club doing it.

No I know but if they get a transfer ban it’s not going to affect them either, they have enough players for the next 10 seasons

Probably they can't . . . but it's never really been tested in an employment tribunal AIUI. Would be interesting to see the outcome if a player did pursue it.

I forgot that guy existed tbf.

80m, got to be worth 20m max right now. So that's a 60m right off. Along with Sterling and Murdryk to name but two.

But don't worry, there's a plan. All these lads will go for profit or balance out!
